It seems we're having the same issue! Although I was never on microval so it's definitely the breastfeeding keeping my period away. Also I'm not planning in conceiling at this moment... but we're thinking around August.

My son obly drinks around twice a day and once or twice during the night, so I don't know how much further I need to reduce it!

Hello to everyone else!
LB is a few days away from 16months and i am already wanting another one. I went off Microval 2 months ago as i would like to start trying soon. I am still breastfeeding my son and not ready to wean him yet, as I wanted him to self wean.

That being said, I have not gotten my period yet which makes me think that conceiving will be an issue until I wean completely.
He only drinks about 6/7 times a day and sleeps through the night.

But for the time being I am just letting nature take its course. Hopefully it was just my pill preventing my periods and that it will come back soon!

@amyreally I'm sure it's natural for you not to have your period yet, if you are worried maybe ask your Dr about it, just to get that peace of mind? I think the fear of having a problem conceiving will always be in the back of our minds, because I'm sure we all know somebody who has had these problems. Honestly, I've never heard of breastfeeding being a contraceptive method before this couple, I would never try it though, I don't trust my body like that

@bellyhearts lol I was enjoying it! But now that I'm thinking of trying again, it's worrying me. And I have this fear of having difficulty conceiving again, although I conceived immediately with my son

Wow! That mustve been quite hectic. Apparently you have to breastfeed exclusively, on demand, with no other sucking comfort etc. Only boob. And this isn't even 100%!

@amyreally can imagine how tough it must be to not get a full night's rest. Trust me we've had our nights where she's been restless. But we've been very fortunate with her sleeping through. I'm jealous you haven't had your period yet, lol! My husband works with a guy that believed breastfeeding was a type of contraceptive. They fell pregnant with their second baby when first was 4 months old.

@bellyhearts I'm so jealous of your easy baby! Mine will be 16 months on the 11th and still doesn't sleep through.

I also had a c section. But my son still breastfeed's and I don't get a period so this is causing to be a problem. He is drinking much less now but still no sign of period! So Im just hoping itll return before august
