No dont worry it's not because it's safer if you had a c-section to wait to fall pregnant, my doctor just prefers that because your scar would have had enough time to heal and mostly it's because she does not do vbacs if your next baby is to be born within two years of your c-section birth, it must be two years or more. Not that I plan on having a vbac!

I've also had a c-section with my daughter, I didn't know it was safer to wait a certain period before falling pregnant again. The rhesus issue doesn't sound fun, to be honest, I would hate to go through all the injections and bloods, so well done on handling it so well. I'm sure it's easily managed and easy to control though. It's sad to see them grow up so quickly :(

Hahaha Ilse, yes, I wonder if the others from our group will also join again :P To be honest, I have been TERRIBLE in remembering to take my pill since I got back on it after baby's birth! So once again this month I missed a lot of pills in between, and then forgot to start the new pack! So then I just figured that I might as well just stop it now as Im not remembering to take it anyway. My doctor advised to wait until baby turns one, so that there will be a long enough gap as I had a c-section.

Regarding the rhesus-thing. I know about the blood type issue etc, but I also know that if by some small chance baby's blood mixed with mine during pregnancy, it can cause some problems for a second pregnancy. But I think they will just monitor something like that closely. Not looking forward to those injections again, or all the blood tests during pregnancy, but oh well.

I also feel sad about how quickly my baby is changing and getting bigger. It even feels like just over this weekend she has changed so much, becoming a real little girl. This weekend she even stood on her own for a few seconds at a time.

Ilse, 11 months, oh my!

Irene, I also believe you need to go with the flow, allow yourself time to get pregnant and don't think about it. Worry about it if it hasn't happened in a year or so.

Our daughter is 7 1/2 months now. It's just going by so quickly!

Haha yes, when I saw it on Facebook I thought it must be a joke! Wish I could ask whether it was planned or not ;p

I think conception is such a case of luck. My doctor told me you have a 20% chance to fall pregnant every month...that's really low! So I am trying not to think that it is a done deal that it will be just as easy this time around. I dont want to do it too early because I feel that my baby is still a little baby, but I also dont want to leave it too late. I really want another one, but I just hope my work situation will resolve itself by then. I think two babies and my work circumstances will be a bit much, Im already a ball of anxiousness about it as it is.

How old is your baby now? 7, 8 months?

Hi Irene! :woohoo: ons kan dan weer preggie maatjies wees :silly:

Wow, that is a lot of time you spend in traffic - isn't it maybe possible to move closer to work? But bellyhearts is correct, your rhesus factor will be an issue again, but like you know, it is easily managed. Well done on stopping the pil, I haven't been that brave yet

Sjoe bellyhearts - sleeping through since birth, now that is a blessing - I hope everyones pregnancies and future babies will be really easy as well.

My little girl was 11 months yesterday, I can't believe it end it really makes this next pregnancy thing now even more of a reality - I really don't want a big gap between them - 24 - 30 months max.

With our pead the next checkup is at 1 year (last one was at 6 months)

That's a super exciting step :) Please keep us updated! I love your attitude about it. We have friends that have been trying ever since we fell pregnant with our daughter. But they have been using ovulation charts, etc since the get go. I think it's too much pressure, they have yet to fall pregnant, unfortunately. Oh my, your friend didn't waste any time, lol! Very brave of her! We were looking at trying around July this year, daughter will be 12 months then.

Thanks, I'll phone my paed and find out.
