He he Jooste, al wanneer ek gaan lê is vir 'n sp%ker ;-)

Ou Jooste, ek weel hoe jy voel - ek was ook in my hart oortuig die IVF gaan werk, en die teleurstelling is enorm! Mens bly mos maar net 'n mens, en gebroke hoop is 'n vreeslike vreeslike gelykmaker :-(

Nadia, dankie dat jy verduidelik het - ek kan my nie indink hoe stukkend julle moet wees met julle verlies nie? Ek hoop jou hart word gou gesond!

Ek is so jammer oor julle dogtertjie. Ek weet van Trisomy 18, maar het nie geweet dat dit ook as Edwards sindroom bekend staan nie. Het julle eers geweet toe sy gebore is, of kon die dokters jou voorberei tydens jou swangerskap?

Eks jammer ek vertel nou als half....my kop nie altyd lekker by nie

Daar was veronderstel om net twee 18de chromosomes te wees, en daar het 'n derde ene bygevorm....

Edwards sindroom AKA Trisomy 18, Is waar daar veronderstel was om net 2 chromosomes te wees, het daar 'n 3de ene by gevorm. So sy was n engelkie met 47 chromosomes =)
