Meags sounds like dh is scared/not ready or mayb ovrwhelmed by the idea of a baby right now? I agree Communicate & find common ground othrwise u both might end up very fustrated.

Meags - Sorry about the arguments with DH! Best advice I can give is COMMUNICATE! Try to hear him too. Preseed can be deposited high in the cervix or as just a lube. When you do the BD marathon it does make you dry, so it helps with that. Preseed is sperm friendly and the correct pH and viscosity etc but I don't think I would go as far as to say it carries the sperm ...... It just does not impede like some other lubes do. Hope that helps!

wow that's expensive!! so I guess you dont apply it each time you BD?? cos that can work out expensive..

any other ladies got advice on when it's best to use the preseed?

I also wanted to ask....if DH uses the withdrawal method, what are the chances of falling pregnant?

ie: he pulls out just before ejaculating

Meags - I bought a pigeon therm, 2dp from baby city for R49.99.
OPKs detect LH surge - so will show up positive just before O. You can buy a box of 4 from Clicks for R59.99 (I think!)
Preseed - I cant give you any personal info as I havent used it yet - i have bought a tube for my BD marathon though. But from what Ive heard it helps if you dont have enough fertile CM.
It comes with applicators so you deposit the lube right at the cervix It cost R239 from Dischem and has 8 applications
Sounds like fun, I cant wait to give it a try!!

oh and I have some questions:

How do OPK tests work? When do you use them? How much are they and where can you buy them?

Does preseed help carry the sperm to the uterus or is it only necessary to use if you suffer from dryness?
Where can you buy it and how much does it cost?

So this has been a bad weekend as far as BD goes!!

generally we only BD once per week (bad I know!!!!!) so I'm trying to get DH use to more BD for when the time comes to TTC.

So due to my bleeding, I was only able to 'service' instead of BD. So did that Tuesday and Thursday and today I tried to BD and it didnt work He was stressed from who knows what and distracted by the cats scratching at the door and someone ringing my cell...

BUT I think the real reason was because we dont have any condoms and when we started the foreplay he asked me about condoms and my response was "I told you 3 weeks ago to buy condoms because I would be stopping my pill" and he said "no...you didnt buy any because you want a baby"

and from there...everything fell apart!! I think the thought of this possibly leading to a baby had such a bad effect

I'm so disappointed. we havent had sex for 2 weeks
