Dear Julz

Im on cycle day 29, and this is my first combination cycle - fertomid and gonal F injections.
My question is, can the combination make my cycle longer than usual. My cycles are between 26-28 days but mainly 28 days - never longer than 28 days. Quantitative HCG says im not pregnant and prog test says I did O.

Is it normal for one's cycle to be messed up ?

Thanx in advance for your help.

Hapi

Hi Julz

How are you doing? Enjoying the new job I hope?

I have a question regarding temping. Do you know if your body temperature goes up from your BBT when you get up in the morning, or down?

In other words if I get up go to the loo and brush my teeth and then take my temp, it's obviously not my BASAL body temperature anymore, but will it be higher or lower than what my BBT was going to be?

Does that make sense?

Klippie, I just wanted to give you some more hope!!!
A friend of mine had a 2% chance of conception and her DH 1%.

They did all the treatments etc and they never conceived.
They fostered 2 kids, but the older one starting making weird accusations and the kids were taken away.

Anyway, long story short, they decided to put it in God's hands and they conceived without any assistance and have a happy and healthy child now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So there is hope :) FX for you!!!

Thanks so much Lalie & Julz

Had a call from Dr this afternoon. According to my bloods yesterday, I will O tonight. (yes, I know, according to my bloods of Friday, I O'ed on Friday!) :-)

So I was in PnP, which prevented me from asking all the questions which I would have. I asked if I could call her tonight, and she said its fine. Which I have decided not to do. So tonight we will not ask questions, we will BD, and hope and pray for that 6% to outdo the rest!

Hi there

Wow laliek can take over here as she really summed it up so well. Thanks laliek

This isn't an exact science klippie even when they use fertomid for iui which is fine etc, but it can mean that they miss ovulation. especially if this is your first medicated cycle. Also know that even with 6% morph. there is still a chance without AI or IUI.

I know that we would have prog tested day 7 but I am sure they have their reason for doing it on day 3 and it is good to ask such things.

You can release more than one egg but they would release within 24 hours of each other.

I am really sorry that your IUI was cancelled. I wish you all the very best for the next one. xx

Julz, please help because I'm having a nervous breakdown!

This may be long - sorry. On Friday, we had our 2nd IUI cancelled. The reason - Friday was CD 12. I went for bloods on CD10, again CD12 (Friday) and was supposed to go Saturday (CD13). The doc would let me know when to trigger, and IUI was then to take place Sunday (CD14) or today (CD15). I'm a clockwork 28 day cycle. So on Friday afternoon I get a call from dr - my levels have dropped (or risen - can't remember) (which basically means that I ovulated on Friday). Which is way too early, cause I was on CD12 (but have taken Fertomid day 3-7 and Gonal F (day 4,6,8,10). So too late to arrange IUI then, Dr prescribed BD for Friday Eve. Dr asked me to do Progrestorne test this morning, which I did. Now they just phoned and said count was very low (but I'm 3dpo) - I think she said 3.8. So she requested LH and E2 tests again.....we are waiting for the results.

My questions are:
1 Can fertomid cause early ovulation
2. Is is possible to ovulate more than once per cycle i.e. on CD12 and onwards (CD 10 sonar showed 4 follies)
3. Why is progrestorne test done today - 3 dpo?

I think I am upset, because if I did O more than once, we could have done IUI still, because BD is not going to do the trick - I think not with 6% morphology.

O please, even if you can just answer one of the questions for me. I'm seeing dr again Wednesday - she's going to do a sonar, but can't wait that long to put my mind at ease.
