Thanks Julz.
It is going to be cold 7-20 degrees. So I have got long sleeves and thick cargo's and cords to wear, also leather boots. (for the vulnerable ankles!!)
I have kept Cape Union Mart in business another month with all the stocks I have bought. Found this really cool spray that you put on your clothes, linen and nets and allow to dry. The mozzies don't even land let alone bite and it lasts 30 washes!!
Thanks again
Lucy

Dankie Lalie

Jip ek vertrou Georg en sal na niemand anders gaan,,, dankie vir die post. Dit het my bietjie gerus gestel.

Julz sorry for barging in again but I think I can help :P

Feetjie - your also with Dr Hogewind right? The average tries for IUI's are 3 times then you move onto other procedures such as IVF or whatever your FS suggest.

Have you ever had a laporoscopy done before? I know that was one of the first things Dr Hogewind suggested because I've never had one done before.

I really trust him and his judgement and remember even with IVF there is no guarantee that it will work. It's natural to start wondering why it's not working as you had so many follies and DH's sperm was excellent etc, but that's something they can't guarantee us - FS can only do so much and remember with each IuI cycly you only have a 30% chance of conceiving...this is interestingly enough the same as trying to conceive naturally. With IVF depending on all types of factors but your success rate goes up to 60% - 70% each cycle - again not 100% guarantee

In all honesty - speak to Georg about it and see what he thinks and tell him your concerns and worries and take it from there

Good luck and I'm holding thumbs for you xxx

Hi Julz

I would like to ask you a question.

I've had my second iui done on 2nd of June.
Like the previous one the blood test was above 5 but not very good, and drop radicly within 2 days time and this time it took 5 days before i started bleeding after the blood test on day 14.

I want to know, medical speaking there is nothing wrong with me or DH.
With the last iui i had 5 big folic's and Dh's sperm were excellent.

FS said we must try iui again but with some injections this time, the previous times i only use 50mg clomed.

How many iui's do one have to do before you stop having iui's? ;-)

I don't know,, could there maybe be a big problem somewhere or can it be possible that it just didn't work and that there isn't really something wrong.

I'm just a little worried because we nether thought that there was really something wrong, but 2 iui's later and now i'm not so sure anymore.

we are not going to do anything this month... but think about the iui next month again.

............ I know i don't really ask a question, but will you please give me your thougts regarding the post....

Meags I answered on the other thread. My physio said no acupuncture for back ache so she just did massage.

Lucy Firstly a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS. I did some reading for you and it seems pregnant women are at higher risk of being bitten and if they get malaria are often more sick so it is a concern. Special Icu should be available incase of illness. The best thing I can advise is that you chat to your gynae and also make an appointment at a travel clinic near you. Mediclinic and netcare have them.

Key is not to get bitten at all so long sleeves, repellant and nets etc.

Sunrise I think most fs like to do their own investigations. Anything can happen in a year. It is possible for IUI not to work even if all is okay. There is never a guarantee with assisted reproduction. You can have more than one lap. I have had 4 and two were within two weeks of each other. It may not be a bad idea to go for another one. Good luck. x

Hi Julz,

Please assist yesterday I went to Dr. Pentz just for a follow up on my last IUI. Dr. Pentz was very shocked that I didn't fall preggy because according to our medical results all looked perfect. So he asked me when was the last time I did laporoscopic.

I did my laporoscopy last year May by that Dr. Majachani. So Dr Pentz is suggesting that I should do another laporoscopy and see if there's nothing.

So my question Julz "is it possible to do more than one lap? And do you thing there's any chance that dr. Pentz could find something?

Thanks Julz.
