Thanks, I also thought hormones.

Nope, haven't gone for any bloods again, but I'm not obsessing about TTC anymore (so much) so I'm fine for now!!

Andy sadly I don't have time to Google either as i have just started a new job and all. It is hormone related so that is really good. Have you had bloods to check the hormones again after the op. You may just need another screening.

Hi Julz

Not really a fertility question, but here goes...

For the last 2 months, my boobs are extemely sore about a week after ovulation/a week before AF. But then when AF starts, the soreness goes away. This started after the ops.

Could it be that with the cysts gone off my ovaries they are actually working properly and is making more than enough progesterone thus causing my boobs to be so sore or is there another explanation?

I don't have time to google and I know you're the google queen... :P

Hi TaNasha

Spotting after af is normal as it is just the end of the bleed, but spotting before af should be investigated.

If ever there is a time where patience is crucial this is it. TTC is not for the impatient.

Good luck.

Hi Julz,

I have been told that you are the TTC Queen :)

I have a question...

I usually spot 2 days before AF, but with my last cycle I alreadys tarted more than a week before, and now 4 days after AF I am still spotting, is this normal? What could be wrong?

I am having my bloods done tomorrow, so hopefully that might give some answers, but I still need to wait for the results and I am not very patient!

Hi feetjie

Laliek basically answered your question. what is the reason for doing IUI?

IUI can be very heartbreaking, but generally they are just bypassing the cervix so it is very effective for hostile mucus and some issues with the sperm, however the sperm still has to reach the egg in the tube.

I would personally suggest that you go for a lap to make sure there are not other causes like a blocked tube or even endo which could be preventing the egg from reaching the tubes etc. Maybe you should chat to your fs about doing this before you move onto IVF. I may be completely wrong about this and am no expert so ask him.

He should also consider doing a hysterescopy to check the inside of the uterus to make sure there are no adhesions there that would prevent a good lining or implantation to occur.

EG I had sever endo and would never have conceived without surgery to free the tubes but once it was done and medical aid paid for it I was able to fall pregnant with meds.

I think IVF is amazing if you know that there is good reason for it and that there is no other method of falling pregnant naturally. It also makes the expense more easy to accept.

Good luck.
