Okay here goes
Prolactin:
High levels are normal during pregnancy and lactation, but high levels when not pregnant or lactating indicate Pcos which causes infertility. High levels are also seen with annorexia and we know that low weight does hinder fertility.

Progesterone
This is usually tested 7 days after ovulation. Raised levels indicate that ovulation has taken place.
Follicle scan
The first is done on CD 3 to see how many early follicles there are and to make sure that there are no cysts before you start treatment. The follicle contains the egg. There should be about 10 small follies on day 3. If there are very few then it may indicate a diminished reserve.
Another scan is done on day 10 to see if any of your little follies have matured and to see if the medication has helped. Usually one will mature for ovulation. If you are on medication you may have more than one mature increasing the risk of multiples.
Beta levels
This is the beta HCG level which indicates pregnancy. These levels should double every 48 hours initially.
