Yas - that does want to make alot of sense!!! Never thought of it that way.

Elamsmom - my Emily also just started crawling, but so far, so good. She is only crawling after her own toys at this point and after the dog of course :) Don't think she has figured out just how interesting all the other things can be quite yet.

LOL Elamsmom, I have a similar model at home! She is down to 2-3 20 minute day naps cause she could miss out on something!

Charnenay, thinking about it again: parents of easy babies would naturally tend to be more relaxed than those of 'challenging' babies cause they have less to stress about. And on the other hand, it's a vicious cycle when the latter stress as this will impact on baby's behaviour, too, I supose. But what can one do? My hubby always calls me a 'stress bolletjie' when I struggle with Lilly cause she drives me insane at times lol, but I guess as moms we are just inclined to stress about our offspring.

Charnenay: How I wish Emily could pass on over some of that relaxed-ness (is that even a word???). My LG, even though she never cries & is a relatively easy baby(bless her heart), is like the Tazmanian Devil :woohoo: From the moment she wakes up to the moment she sleeps, its busy busy busy. crawling, walking, tearing my expensive magazines which USED TO decorate the coffee table. Pulling vases and ornaments and throws and scatter cushions onto the floor....shoo! she is a real handful!

Last night she pulled a few scatter cushions onto the floor then lay down on them...it was like she had made a little bed for herself. TOO CUTE! but quite a lot of work tidying up after her...and at only 10 months. I shudder to think what kind of toddler she is going to be but who knows, she might calm down and become relaxed & calm...*HOPING&PRAYING* ;)

Elamsmom - we all get flustered sometimes (with our children, with our husbands, with our jobs, wth life actually), that doesn't make us bad mothers, wives or people, just makes us human.

Yaz, I also don't like the "my child is so well behaved because I do everything right" comment. People are always telling me that Emily is relaxed because DH and I are so relaxed and my comment is ALWAYS "No, Emily is relaxed because that is HER personality right now".

I also don't like the implication that if you struggle with your baby and sometimes wanna hit DH over the head with baby's bottle  then you don't loooooooove your baby and motherhood and DH and you don't think/feel that they are THE BEST things that have EVER happened to you.

I adore my child- can barely spend a moment without her & would lay down my life for her anyday. same for DH...but that doesn't mean that I don't get flustered sometimes...

I agree. I love my dh dearly but there comes a time (at least once a week) where I would gladly strangle him with a smile on my face, I will then plead temporary insanity due to PMS. :woohoo:
