Ha ha, omg Zulu, how do you take that? ...gracefully? or do you go hide out for a while. I would have been stressing if I were Zulu. A month or so before my baby arrived I was already giving everyone in the family a speach to give me space. If this was customary in my culture I would have been nuts.

I have a bubbly 4 months old girl. She smiles and reaches out to everyone. People want to hold her adn touch her. I really don't mind because of those people someone was never blessed like me to carry a baby and mine is the closest for them to experience a little baby.
I always pray that God protect her from anything she might pick up from the sorroundings.

I just have a confession to make....

I am so compelled to touch a pregnant tummy or baby in the shops!!!

I don't do it because I think the people would look at me like I'm crazy...but in my profession, that's all we do!!!

I do think pregnant women are beyond beautiful.
I read somewhere that when you see pregnant women, you should tell them how beautiful they look.
when you see a breastfeeding mom, you should tell her she should be proud.

However, I think you'd get really funny looks!!!!! And I dont like the discrimination between breast and bottle feeding

this is funny!

I dont have a problem with people touching my 9 month old at all. in fact a couple of times women have offered to hold him while i juggle with whatever im trying to do.. get purse/keys etc out of bag... and im grateful!

i love the fact that he will readily go to anyone and am actively encouraging this.
Obviously the person has to ask... i dont think i'd take too kindly if he was just grabbed... but i honestly dont have an issues with germs etc...
I mean the little bugger licks the floor before i can stop him! :)

Memo the perfume is also my absolute worst, especially the nasty cheap stuff. It gets up my nose and I can't stand it, so I will actually go and change my LO because I feel sorry for him having to smell the stuff. Whenever I've gone to visit friends with newborns I make sure not to wear perfume because I can just imagine how strong it must smell to a LO that has just come out of the womb.

Just recently people at work have noticed that i am pregnant,so this lady comes up to me and says "oh,ur pregnant, why didnt you say?"and i asked was i suppose to write an e-mail informing the whole building, and she says"it must be a boy"and i say i dont know if you say so,and she tries to touch my tummy,i hit her hand so hard b4 she could even touch,my fingers felt hot,and i walked away leaving her to pick up her jaws on the floor.

Last week i went to the bank, and there was this lady, infront of me,she was with i think about 5month old baby, and this kids playing around in the bank, come up to the lg who is on her pram, touches her and one of the kids sneazed right in the face of the lg,i was shocked :( but what do you do in that instance, where it's not the adults but the kids, touching and kissing and even taking sweets from ur lo,licking them and giving them back
