Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

I use the MN nappies, but i will have to get new covers.
The covers velcro do not work as well anymore, and they have been become scratchy between the legs.

Yes me to. I must actually just ask them why they don't sell the covers and insert seperately, it might be a good seller if they did it that way. I would defiantely buy extra covers and inserts.

Thanks 2km - when i saw their 'new' covers a few months ago they didn't look any different to what I had bought previously, which is also why I'm hesitant to buy more. I have asked, they will fix the frayed nappies at R10/nappy which I might do at some stage. Just wish they made nappy covers, even if I have to buy different sizes, in their all in one nappy style.

Kaye, I have also thought that using the All in ones cover over a nature nappy would work very very well but maybe not for a smaller baby. My Mn nappies are still in excellent condition luckily , no fraying and some of them are second hand so I am really supprised how well they have lasted. I will definately be able to use them with the new baby right till the end. Well I bought some new MN covers the other day and they look identical to the ones I bought almost 2 years ago. I checked with them and the MN people said it's new PUL and new velcro although I have my reservations about that. Why don't you approach MN to perhaps sew up the edges of your nappies for you? They are quite good about that. Their nappies are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee if they are cared for according to their instructions.

You can put some vinegar in your washing load if you would like, that should strip them of the soap residue. I would not add detergent to that load as that would defeat the object. Instead of vinegar you could use Bicarb but I think the vinegar is the better option. If you want you could a hot wash to stip them instead of just the normal cold wash. Sjoe, I can't believe Anrika is already 2 weeks old. What nappies are you going to be using?

2km - i am getting ready to use my cloth nappies for my lg. They have been packed away for a year now. You talked about stripping them with vinegar, how do i do that?
