Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

Bulewam, the reason the stegi covers degrade is because they arnt PUL as u stated earlier. Its really only glorified Pvc. The BM covers also not. The only true Pul covers out there are Earthbabies, mothernature, econobum and flip. If u are in El we cao have any product on our site sent to you. On a personal note my experience witg Pep covers and stegi nappies is only negative. You reall need something a lot more snug fitting to make the nappy stay in place.

The Econobum nappies (2KidMamma sells them) work over Stegi nappies, that's what we're using.

Sorry for my late reply, son kept me busy I've attached pictures for the PEP and Woolies waterproofs. Left (blue print) is PEP (cuddlesome) and right (white) is Woolies waterproofs.
I used to use Stegi at night with a muslin square around it and then one of these waterproofs. Worked great but my son got thrush and I started using disposables at night. But now that I found the Cherub Tree night nappy to work I'm going to change as soon as my order arrives. (Second baby due Jan 2012 DV)

L - yes the Woolies ones are in the baby section. I do feel the PEP ones will breathe a little more than the Woolies one, but you for sure won't have a drop leaking with the Woolies one! lol

Are the Woolies waterproofs in the baby clothing section? I've never seen them! I've bought some waterproofs at Ackermans, to use with my mother nature nappies, but will only be able to report back on how they work once my little one arrives (due in a month).

I think I've come to a solution. Thank you Amanda for you reply, you helped me get to the next thing I'll try. I still have a lot of the Stegi nappy covers that have the PUL layer worn so I will continue to use them and get the PEP or Woolies waterproofs and use those over the Stegi covers.

I will come back and let you know how it goes.

Hi Amanda, yes it the waterproofs that I'm looking for.
The stegi nappies are not all in one nappies so am not sure if the PEP and Woolies waterproofs will work.

I'm not sure what you are looking for a waterproof but I have used Woolworths and Pep Stores waterproofs and were happy with both. I actually preferred the Pep Stores one as it had buttons on the side which made me feel like it "breathed" a little bit more.

I use Cherub Tree / Bumbeetles during the day and recently received a Cherub Tree night nappy to try and it worked great at night and I put the Pep Stores waterproof around as extra precaution. Worked fabulous. I'll take a photo of both to show the difference and post here.

The woolies waterproof was R20 and the Pep Stores wproof was R10.
