Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

I also have Stegi nappies (6 large) which I never ever use. I don't even know what to do with them... maybe Floor rags?? I am in love with the Mother Nature All in One and when I have to start buying nappies again I am only going to buy more of thsoe. I have 12 Econobums so I am sorted with prefolds but need some more all in ones for next year.

So I bought the PEP waterproofs and so far so good. I think I just need to get a size that is more fitting but leak-wise....no problems there.

Will continue to use them and see how things pan out.

I also bought my Stegi nappies when they were the only option available. I am thinking of selling them, but not sure if anyone will buy them!! If I were to buy again I would go for pocket nappies for cuteness and Econobum for absorbency and cost-effectiveness. The covers are really soft and much nicer than those with velcro.

Ah, yes Stegi was about all that was available at that stage. If you are looking for the One Size covers with PUl then I can recommend the Econobum which is a brilliant cover. You can get one 1:1 which is a cover and a prefold nappy for R160. This will last you ages. I if you want something that is a little pricier in different colour and not a prefold then I would recommend the Flip Stay dry with Snaps which is about R180. The Mother Nature and Earthbabies are also excellent covers which don't include nappies and sell for around R100 but you need to buy different sizes.

I bought the Stegi in 2009, there wasn't such a variety then and they were the most cost effective at the time.
Which nappy covers would you recommend I try?
I have a boy 23months and expecting a baby in November so if you have one size fits all nappy covers that can last long, can you send me their name then I can order a trial from your site.

All of those nappy covers i Mentioned are One Size fits all except the Earthbabies which have to be bought in different sizes. If cared for correctly they can last you right through to potty training and beyond. You may find those with velcro last a little less but the ones with Snaps will last indefinately if cared for. Thes waterproofs, some you can buy individually but some you buy as a nappy & Proof wich still costs less than one BM cover would. I'm supprised you went for Stegi with all the other great far more user friendly brands on the market which cost a whole lot less. Stegi is a good system but I really don't like the fact that you need to use all those different sizes, it's really very expensive and I just found the stegi cotton not to be so absorbant. Just a tip though, if you have a small baby still then i would suggest securing the Stegi nappy with a Snappy before putting the Pep waterproof on the nappy or the nappy with shift around and you will have terrible leaking issues.

2Kidmama, do the Earthbabies, mothernature, econobum and flip covers last longer than the glorified stegi and BM covers?

Am looking for nappy covers I don't have to buy every 3 months. At between R100 to R200 am looking to buy once or at most twice a year.
One of the big reasons I went for cloth was to save money. I've already spent over R3000 on the Stegi nappy package. I think its rediculous to have to spend around R100 per nappy cover every 3 months. I might as well stick to disposables.....

I have some of the Stegi nappy covers whose waterproof layer is worn so they're basically cloth now, so I was thinking of them to secure the nappy then using the PEP waterproofs over the entire nappy.
Will test and see how it goes. The PEP waterproofs...I bought 2....only cost R10 each.
