My little one is just over 3 months old and around 6kg. Are you using a booster with the BM? What size cover are you using? I also make sure to tuck the nappy inside the cover because sometimes it sticks out a bit. We also get leaks on occasion, but I think that's more because my nappies are all 2nd hand and the elastic at the legs is a little stretched. At night I usually use a muslin square nappy with another muslin folded as a booster inside a BM cover and don't have any leaks. I'm also lucky that my little one sleeps through most nights from 7pm - 4/5am. She's in her nappy from bath-time though, about 5:30pm through to about 6 the next morning.

This is a nice topic...I am using regular terry cloths, I use to use MN but it died after 18 months..now a friend will give me 3 or 4 of the Duki nappies and I cannot wait..I am so tired of cloth that I am considering disposables.

It is just encouraging to see so many mommies using cloth, I did not realize that so many do...

How are you all doing? I'm so glad to see this little thread I started is still on the go. Sorry for being AWOL but it's been really hectic business wise and also on Holiday for about a month. Amanda I just wanted to say that you can get Muslin squares at Baby City I think and also BM sell packs of Muslin squares. The Muslin is much thinner that the Towelling but also very absorbant and softer i think.

Stegi nappies are made out of 100% Cotton so you could use that but maybe do like one of the other ladies and make Felt inserts.

Muslin is much thinner cotton. Not so bulky on little bottoms, but quite absorbent. You can find them near the sheets at Baby City.

My booster pads have several layers terry with a fleece top layer on some (built in liner). I've also made some with those super absorbent orange cleaning cloths you get - an orange layer between 2 terry pieces. Or just buy a pack of Stegi or even just a pack of additional booster pads from Bumbeetles.

What is the difference between muslin square and a terry square? And where can I buy Muslin square?

Was it someone on this forum that said they put stegi underneath another brand name nappy for night time? Or am I imagining things?

What material would you suggest I buy to make something Stegi-like to put underneath a Bumbeetles and/or Cherub Tree nappy for night time.

Sarah - I bought the MN nappies but only started using them from 1 month with my son as we were given so many newborn disposables. I also use disposables when we go away for a few days. And I've actually found that I have more leaks with disposables - especially when Finn was between 1 - 4 months.

I use MN at night with a booster pad and the night fleece cover. I never change him though as then he's fully awake. But I must admit, I've lately also been using disposables at night Amanda. Its funny how you feel guilty when you don't need to! (I do too!) Finn has just been so wet in the mornings, and it seems that the thrush or a slight rash wants to start coming back and I don't think the wet nappy at night helps. But I've never had a leak with the MN at night, so thats good!
