Mom2LnB, I'll only do those tests next week, I haven't even bought the ball yet, just been to busy!

I am looking after my godson (10 years), have my own baby (15 months) and I'm 36 weeks preggies and getting panicky about not having everything ready for the new baby yet... So I'll only be able to buy the ball sometime this week or weekend then use it next week.

I have however found out more about the "harmfull" substances in the Verimark ball:

There is no toxins in the ball, the warning serves purely to cover their asses if the ceramics starts to chip away. This will happen with any ball eventually but it shouldn't be dangerous in small amounts. Ceramic dust contains sharp little splinters which can be harmfull when inhaled or swallowed or lands up in your eyes. The chance of this happening is equally good with any ball so all balls should actually carry a warning. Verimark is a big company and used to getting a lot of flak form many people, therefore their legal department makes sure that they cover anything that can go wrong.

I won't be able to test the Biowashball as they do not have the money back guarantee so I can't give it back after the tests if I don't want it. They will have to supply me with the pH level information and then I will just have to trust them in order to compare it to the Icon ball from Verimark.

Yes you are right, can't beleive there aren't more eco disposables out there. Just bear in mind that they are still not 100% biodegradable but atleast 50% which is already a big thing.
