Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

I was on the normal verimark site. It doesn't say anywhere on the site where the ball is made, will check this in the shop on the packaging. The icon wash ball that originates in Korea looks totally different to the verimark icon ball. The verimark one looks like the biowash ball.

Cermatech balls can mean anything as it is a name given by the manufacturer, but I will research this as well.

The pH of normal water is usually 7 (neutral) or above, only in severly polluted areas does water's pH fall below 7. So the info you have about other balls not reaching 6 can't be correct.

I'm not trying to degrade the product that you sell at all nor do I doubt your info, I'm just a science junky so I want to know all the facts and do tests...

What verimark site did you go to? I don't compare them like that. I get two very different products. The Icon ball Verimark offers is imported from china. The Biowashball is made in Europe.

The Verimark product uses beads they call "cermatech" The true biowashball has two different types of ceramic components. These are two very different products. But try it and let us know what you think. Biowash is very clear about cheap immitations damaging you clothes and other laundry. I have been told that the Verimark and some other washballs don't even hit a PH of 6 so just check that out when you do your tests.

Thanks, I've just looked at both websites. The verimark one is a new verimark product and I suspect they have bought the product form biowash.

The balls are totally identical, the info is identical, the ad is identical, its even got the same person doing the ad! So I'm thinking these things are the same. I'll test cheapie out, its worth a R100 mistake... and I'll test the pH of the water (i'm a science teacher) I'll let you know the outcome.

The other products that I have seen that is similar to the biowash ball are different colours or look different to the biowash ball. This one looks identical!

The Verimark claims a PH value but tests were done by BIOWASH and the claims are false.

How does Biowashball work?
Inside the plastic sphere the different types of ceramics consist of TM or Effective Micro organisms which are beneficial to nature. It is these micro organisms which naturally promotes the decomposing of organic material and therefore helps our soil to re-energize itself and at the same time help to clean our groundwater system from pollution.

The ceramics have the ability to break the water surface tension so that water which is the solvent (natural cleaning agent) penetrate easily in between the fibres of laundry and can be effective as the cleaning agent.

At the same time, changing the pH of the water to between 8 and 10 alkaline which is ideal for cleaning.

The ceramics emits negative ions into the water which attach to the dirt particles which is a positive ion. This then get washed out during the washing process of the washing machine. Therefore this water can be recycled and is beneficial to our gardens and soil.
How does the Biowashball do this?
Drops surface tension of the water
Just as chemical surfactants found in detergents do, resulting in wetting of fabric fibres so that dirt can be removed.

Changes water to ± 9 pH
Equivalent to the pH resulting from using detergent.

Emit negative ions
Negative ions in the water attach to dirt particles (positive loaded) and make them easier to rinse out of the fabric.

Hi girls, I've been wanting to get a biowash ball for a while now. But I've trained my domestic so well that my last bucket of Bioclassic is just not geting finished... Now I see verimark is advertising a ball similar to the biowash ball. It also says it lasts for 1000 washes. But its much cheaper than the biowash ball. Has anyone who knows a bit about the working of the balls seen the ad vir the verimark one?
It says it raises the ph of the water, so making it more alkaline like soap. I would like to know what the science behind both balls are so that I can make up my mind of which one to buy...

Yes, Crazy Store, the facecoth is by "Coo-ey" it has a lion as logo. Pic attached. It is 100% microfleece.

I have ordered my Cherub Tree popper nappies and am looking forward to using them!
