VBAC SUPPORT

Hi Ladies

Just back from supporting the super strong Marijke! She had a perfect successful VBAC, baby girl born in the water. She was so strong and amazing! I was very honoured to have been part of it, and I even got to cut the cord! A very special moment.

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry I've been off the grid - I can't go online from my cell with our farm reception, I've got my password written in my diary which haven't been in hand, and I haven't been able to sit until the last 2 or 3 days because of infection I got from the soluble episiotomy stitches!

Thanks to everyone who celebrated my VBAC success with me - all the support was well appreciated!

I'm glad to say that Marijke also had a successful VBAC last night!

Will hopefully start writing my lengthy birth story today - I have to include my c-section experience from last time as I feel the 2 can't be seperated. My VBAC was pretty hectic and I nearly ended up with a c-section again, and if I don't include why I just HAD to push thru there are people who might see my normal birth as a scary story!

Welcome SMA - always nice to hear of another VBAC hopefull's experience & holding thumbs that you will get the birth that you want. I have also heard only good things about Phindi. I am sure she will take good care of you. Why would you need a doula as well? Wouldn't you rather use a doula in a hospital setting where you don't have a midwife assisting your birth?

Also still looking forward to hear Kiewiet's story!
