oh, evil Dr who delivered my son :P

Oh ya, for this pregnancy, started at my medical aid's gynae, found out he's a c-section specialist....asked him to birth naturally, said no, with that end-of-story tone and attitude, asked why...he sees an opening cervix as a problem??? Uhm I ran :silly:

2nd gynae, at first visit, making notes casually says "okay we'll book a c-section at 38 weeks"...uhm hello thanks for discussing that with me first!!!!!!! So I ask for natural birth, he says why am I looking for problems, his daughter has had 2 c-sections and can have a 3rd if she wants, posh people don't want to deliver naturally, it could cos damages to your vajay..warawara...why are you looking for problems... I ask what's the big deal, he simply says "the scar will open up, baby falls into stomach, you die, baby dies"....wow...talk about informing me properly so I can make my decision.... Needless to say, I ran

Straight to Phindi's arms :)

Hi everyone....newbee over here

I have been following this thread forever though, so I feel like I've been part of it for a while...

I'm a VBAC hopeful, 31 weeks today!!! Have a 22 months old son, emergency rather unneccesary c-section. I'm seeing a midwife, Phindi, at Genesis Clinic. Baby was in position last check-up but still lots of water, hope all is still good next Friday. Nervous about gynae visit at 36 weeks....got a Macdonald stitch...incompetent cervix...miscarried at 21 weeks between my son and this pregnancy... So ya, probably taking stitch out at 37 weeks, then waiting and praying and hoping and praying and probably driving my husband crazy. He's not so on board about Genesis, doesn't understand how it will work out since it's not a typical hospital, he's still a bit shaken by son's delivery... Hope he comes with next week so he can see for himself!! Son was 3.5 kgs so he's worried she (yep it's a girl) might be bigger and evil Dr said CPD when I was 6 weeks pregnant...seriously...

So ya, I was almost in tears when I read Elamsmom's story!!! Especially cos of her IC as well, soooooo inspired... And now Kiewiet also... Congratulations ladies, gosh you are where I hope to be in 9 weeks or so...

Include me in your prayers, for a safe and okay delivery, not that worried though, have been in natural drug-free labour twice, one delivery, so at least I have an idea what to expect though no labours are the same.

Oh, EDD 11 January...

Hi ladies. It's me, Elamsmom. I'm logging in from my iPad and forgot my password for my old username.

Shoo,it's been a long time since I last posted! I'd forgotten how busy such a tiny little person can keep you!!! My little lady is growing nicely but suffers from winds/cramps so she cries quite a lot. Some days are better than others. I just keep reminding myself that it will pass.

We are in East London at my moms house. I put my toddler into crèche here. My aunt has a little girl about the same age, so I put her into the same crèche. That was thee most brilliant idea ever! I would never cope with both of them all day!!! I gave my helper a week off since last Friday and she'll be back tomorrow.

Congrats Kiewiet!!!!! Birth story please!!! Sooooo exciting!!!

Joybaby, been reading all your posts on the other thread. Congrats on the birth of your little girl!!!! How did the csec go? Was it any different from the 1st?

To all you ladies, been missing u guys like crazy! Not sure who's next in line for baby's birth, but best of luck! Will keep reading everyones posts and try posting when the new Little ruler of the roost gives me a spare moment :)
