Morning Morning...

Its mean forever since I was on here... been quite busy with all sorts lately!!

My mom had her 70th birthday on Friday - so we as a family paid for them to join all of us on a weekend away on a farm in Robertson. What a STUNNING place and weekend!!! No cell reception, no tvs... just nature, running stream in front of cottages, horses next door, and birds all around... it was divine. Tayla had a rough first night... with all the changes to routine and new surroundings - so for the FIRST TIME EVER she slept in the bed with hubby and I the whole night... needless to say, we didn't get much sleep! She really is a little wriggle bum! But day 2 she was all settled and did all her day sleeps and night sleep very well. We took her to see the donkeys and she loved them - they are apparently all "dogs" to her... lol!

@ Scribblingal - other than that news on Tayla - she is doing well.. getting quite a personality as she nears 1. She has started dancing... stomps her feet and then sways head Stevie Wonder style... hilarious! Still not walking all on her own... sooooo frustrating.. she walks like a dream as long as we are holding her one hand... probably me being over cautious... she can take 20 odd steps on her own - but then falls... so i'm too scared to just leave her.

Words - we are covering just a couple... "do" = Dog... which is every single animal she sees... no matter whether it is or isn't a dog... and she gets quite annoyed when you try and tell her it isn't a dog...

I've got so much planning and all that to do for the first birthday... the invites are all done - now to just complete the menu and then mom and I are making and decorating the cake next week... going to have little ducks on it seeing as we are picnicing at the "Duck Pond"

Business - very slow - but everyone is complaining about the same thing... Recently i've had a good few sales... Springbok Nappy Bags, Bulls Nappy Bags and Toy Barrels... I've just done a massive flyer drop and plan on popping some flyers up at Creches in the area over the next few weeks. Hanging in there!!!

Anyhoo - that is all my info for now - gotta run... must go drop the invites :)

Hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

Hello Ladies.

I'm exhausted so I'm just doing a quick post.

Work went fine - worked mostly half day but will be full day every day this week. Team seems really nice but didn't see my boss much - and will be hectic this week. She is apparently not the easiest person to work with but heck, with directors breathing down her neck 24/7 that is understandable.. I'm sure we will get along just fine. I have to pay R30 for parking everyday.. wasn't expecting that LOL... oh well.

Congrats on the walking Pinky - most babies are walking very soon after their first steps so I'm sure within the next week you will see her take to walking more and more often!! (No Lia though lol)

Guys, I thought Lia was very stressed about her routine being thrown out due to working as sleep has sucked and she's been a bit niggly.. then I felt in her mouth and she is cutting 2 molars PLUS one bottom incisor.. at the same time. Poor little thing. Molars suck bad enough but to do all three teeth at once :-(.

I think we found a school for my kiddies.. smaller but an established school... love their discipline and teaching philosophies and the teacher we met was divine. They only take from 14 months but Lia will be 13 months at the time she goes so they said it would be fine. Still expensive but as far as Fourways goes it is reasonable and as long as I feel that my kids are in good hands that is all that matters. They will be going at the end of the month and I know it is going to be traumatic and they will need to settle... but what can we do... it needs to be done and once they are settled I think I will feel less of this serious anxiety and panic I'm feeling at the moment. If they are happy I'll survive :-)

I have to get my boy into bed.. so won't get to all the personals today but I love reading about your babies and what they're up to.. :-). Yay.

Have a great week everybody

Pinky, you live literally around the corner from me. I reckon if it's 200m away it's a lot!! Can't believe we're so close together!

Your Hello Kitty theme looks so cute. There is a shop in Clearwater called birthdays and they have quite a bit of funky stuff. Not sure about Hello Kitty stuff, but if you still need anything maybe they will have.

Well done on the walking - isn't it exciting!!

I have a bag of stuff for the orphanage, so let me know if you're keen to go some time.

Hi Everybody!!!

Hope you are all doing well... It looks like it! I haven't been on here for quite a while... went on Holiday, planning birthday party and studying... not very good excuses I know!!!

Des - Connor's birthday party looked awesome, seems like you guys had such a nice time! The cake and Party packs were beautiful (I saw your photos on facebook). So glad that you enjoyed it and it looked like Connor had an awesome time! Congrats for him turning 1 as well!

Jacadebra - How is work? Were thinking about you on Monday hope it went really well! How did the kids do?

Bronz - Happy to be back in CPT? Saw on facebook how you were welcomed with a bergie... hahaha... so typical... Congrats on the clapping... I love it when Karla claps her hands - it is like she is congratulating herself on her achievement of walking a step or 2 or climbing off the bed or whatever she does.... sooo cute! Hope the studying is going well... mine is VERY slow!

Babyshoes - Congrats on all those teeth... it is quite a thing when they cut so many at a time... Karla cut 4 teeth at one time, although the last one is still trying to push through properly... don't know why...

Shazz - WELCOME!! Hope you enjoy our thread as much as we do! I look at Karla and just get a bit teary when I think of her turning 1 next week... I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! I miss my little baby who were so tiny and fragile, but I also love the way she is growing up and doing all these new things... It is so exciting!!!

ScribblingAl - How is Emily doing? She Karla has this funny love hate relationship the previous time we got together... so cute... pulling each other's hair and then hugging and giving kisses... so cute!

Well ladies Karla is turning 1 next week... Can't believe it!! We are having her party this weekend... Hello Kitty theme... I should have chose something else because I couldn't find anything about hello kitty in the stores and online they are so expensive... but I made it worked with some of our own creations... I attach a photo of her invite... We decided to have the party at home... a bit cheaper and we're making the food and everything ourselves... very hard work, but it is fun, I love doing all this party stuff!

Karla is starting to give between 2 and 4 steps at a time and then she just falls on us... very cute and she gets extremely excited when she takes the steps!!!

You ladies must have a wonderful day... sorry for my essay!!!

Ciao ;) B) :woohoo:

BabyShoes, congrats on all the teeth. Each one is one less sleepless night!

Shazz, how old is your little one? She sounds quite far ahead of Emily, who isn't climbing (well, she does when Mommy's supporting her bum, so that doesn't count), and still isn't talking. Can just imagine how cute the giggling is when she says "no".

I'm really sad about Emily getting so big so soon. I was looking at some videos that i took on my phone just after she was born. There was just no way that she was that small!!!!! But having said that I am looking forward to her turning one and us toasting the end of what has been a really tough year.

How are all the other mommies doing? Bronz, have you settled back into the Cape? How's Graeme doing? And have you and Des managed to hook up?

Des, how are you and Connor doing? Are you still enjoying your job?

Jacadebra, hope the new job's going well. I have to go into the office again today (twice in two days) for another meeting, and I really resent my home time been taken away. I've become rather anti-social and anti-office in the year that I've been away.

Beansmom, how's Tayla? Any new developments? Feels like it's been ages since you were last on Moomie. How's the business going?

Bundle, I saw your photos of Luke's first birthday on Facebook. He is absolutely gorgeous, and he's going to love scooting around on his new toys. Had to laugh at the choice of toys - you'll be buying the same stuff for him in 17 years time.

Zulu, i hate to ask, but how's your car doing...? Did the smell disappear?

Hi ladies hope you dont mind me popping in and joining!

Babyshoes wow fantastic teether! my little one has had eight teeth since eight months ad nothing again? she is teething though for a while so expect something soon!

Bronz i give Bear vidylan (sp) but not every day, i sometime forget  so every other day? it does not taste nice so perhaps ill also give the scotts a try. Bear has also started climbing off furniture, so now its climbing up down up down up down  She has learnt how to say no, so when you say it she repeats it and i land up giggling, that does not help with discipline when your laughing!

Ladies who lo turned one did you get a little sad that they are growing up? when does a baby become todllers? im loving the fact that her personality is coming through, and enjoy her antics all day but still know im going to cry on her birthday because she is growing up.

Enjoy your evening ladies!
