05:30 in the morning.... feeding time.... ha ha ha

My son Dieter came into our room and I was busy feeding Vica. So he decided he wanted some too. So I told him I am not moving and he must sort himself out if he wants boob. So he first seemed annoyed. So I thought aaahhh he's not going to drink. But then he did this move. :-)

Angi, I had to use a shield with Ruan as well and he used it until 5months. With Janroux I did not use one. Actually I refused to use a shield. Only used it while my nipples were very sory and bleeding.

Hi ladies,

We went to buy an extra car chair for McKeilagh to put into DH car as we only have one in my car. We also wanted a new camp cot as ours stays at my MIL and everytime we need it we have to go get it from her. We landed up buying those and a tandem pram (he he he). So now I will be able to go out with both little ones on my own.

For those newbies to being a mom some advice I got with McKeilagh and not with SHiloe which was invaluable- don't use wetwipes in the beginning, use warm water and cotton wool. Because their skin is so sensitive the cold wetwipes feel 10 times colder for them. Also at bath time make sure the bath is about 36 degrees, not luke warm. They are used to being in your warm tummy, they are going to hate a luke warm bath. Also use a fan heater during undressing and dressing so that they stay warm They cry because they are cold. Also never try to bath a hungry baby, give them a feed and then bath about half an hour later and then top them up after they are dressed before putting them down to sleep.

CC- Im sure your baby is born by now- congrats and enjoy.
Angi- well done on the bf.

CC good luck for tomorrow...

Mummoo glad party was a success plez do come post pics...

AFM: izelle and myself are doing well finally got the hang of breastfeeding must use a nipple shield otherwise she can't latch and after she's sucked me dry she need a top up of formula to fill that gap, want to go have her weighted next week, she's such an easy little girl had issues with bath time but she's starting to enjoy it, she just screams her lungs off if she feels a wet wipe and after taking her out the bath...I'm finally off the pain meds and having my last injection to prevent blood clots today so glad, my leg looks like a druggie leg with all the needle marks, I can't believe my angel is a week old today time is flying

Thought I will post a pic of my angel she getting cuter and cuter to mommy and just want to gobble her up...

2 precious angels in heaven...we think and miss you everyday

Hi ladies,

Sorry, just an update as I am actually on 'sickleave' and just came in to office to make a few phone calls.

Went to the gynae yesterday. De Wet is weighing in at just over 4kg and will be born on Friday 2 March at 09:30. Two days to go!

Congrats Angi!

Have a lovely week ladies!

Hi ladies

Annie - the twins also went for their 6 week checkup on the 17th. Their weights were 4.1 and 4.3kg so close to Tallulah's. I have the exact same problem with BF and expressing. I still give my girls the 60ml topup of formula every 3-4 hours so they must be getting breast milk more than the 20 ml's that comes out when I express! They are picking up weight nicely and I can see that the one has a stronger suck on the breast as her poo is more yellow (which denotes more Bmilk).

About the wedding ring - totally normal! My first pregnancy i could only wear it 6 months after birth! Right now I squeezed mine back on buit its definitely tight. Alomost as if my knuckles expanded during pregnancy! My set was very snug in the first place as I didn't want my diamond to move around my finger all the time so its even more tight after preggies. I still have 2kg's to go and want to start pilates again to get rid of this flabby skin and tummy. Loved Zumba too! Maybe belly dancing ;)

Simone - you are sooooo lucky to have so much breast milk. A friend of mine also pumps every 4 hours religiusly and gets something like 120-140 mls each time!

AFM - Had my little poppit's princess bday party on Saturday! Was hectic but at least she had a nice time with a few friends. Huda and Nida are going through the - "I want to be on the arm" phase and when they sleeping and you put them down - the open their eyes and start moaning! Its sooooooooooooo tiring. So its sling phase. I had this with my first as well where all she wanted to do was be close to me.

Thank goodness for some cooler weather here in the Cape today :-)

Have a good week ladies!

Hi Ladies,

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Vision- I hope you were spoilt rotten at your baby shower.

Annie- some woman never go back to their old shoe size. Not sure about your hands being bigger though.

So it was 26 degrees here in Durban at 4am :(
AFM- these next 2 weeks could not go faster... I have a busy week this week. I need to lecture a workshop the whole day tomorrow, and then be at clients on wed and thurs half day. I guess it will make the week go faster. But I also have book club tomorrow night and wine club on Wednesday- want to go to both as it will be a few months before I go again.
