Juandre, I have no Idea how to fatten up baby without fattening yourself :o hehe.

I am happy to report I lost all extra weight! Yay!

Janroux went through his second growthspurt on Sunday. It was a hectic day. Him drinking constantly from 14h00 till 22h00. I was so tired. Was very hard on my breasts. The next day he kept throwing up milk. I was almost in tears. Did not know what was wrong. Finally figured it out. And the spitting up stopped. HIs winds are coming out better. Still struggling with gas. Poor baby. But he is just a little angle. Not a fussy baby at all! so blessed.

I have been struggling with the following. Should I offer him a formula topup at night to keep him fuller for longer and sleeping longer? My let down is a bit quick and he ends up getting too much wind in because of it. So I have been thinking about offering a topup. Then daddy can give him that one feed. Tried pumping yesterday. But its just so little milk at a time. Obviously he is much better then a breast pump and gets out much more
Anyway I gave him breastmilk in bottle last night and he was drinking so good. Not get in lost of air. Then again I don't want to make him too used to the bottle. Do you think one bottle feed will make such a big difference?

Anyway gotta go.

Annie how is it going now? My friend really battled with BF for first few weeks...and she persisted and now exclusively bf...but as Juandre says.....same with me..bF Addison for 2 weeks....everyone that knows her will tell u she is freakishly healthy! in 3 years my child was sick 3 times...and nothing hectic thankfully. Josh is BF....and at 2m he had a cold already.....so really....whether you bottle or breast feeding at this stage....dont stress about it.

AFU...we're doing well. Josh's runny nose last week cause havoc on his sleep at night....wakes up every 3hrs!!!!!!! EXHAUSTING! But he is so sweet and cute....love him to bits like i honestly couldnt imagine. He is growing so fast...about 60cms tall and weighing 6kgs!!!!

Addison is her usual self...miss diva princess.lol. Very sweet with her brother...no jealousy issues...loving school...but man she can be lekker naughty and stubborn when she has time!

Amanda I show my hubby all the pics of Vica on FB cause I am so amazed at how well she is doing!!! You have been a wonderful inspiration to us all.

I went to the gynae today and baby seems to have slowed abit in the weight department. Dr doesnt seem concerned but I am. At 38 weeks when Shiloe was born she was2.9kgs, Mickey came at 36 and weighed 2.87kg's. He is estimating baby to be 2.9kg's at birth on 13th March. I was really hoping for a baby over 3kgs as both my girls stayed an extra night in hospital due to their sugar not stabilizing and I think it was because of them being small.

I googled and the suggestions are to eat more protein and to take Ensure. Any one else know how to fatten up my baby over the next 3 weeks???

Hello ladies,

Update on my little one:

Next week Friday Vica will be 4 months old. She weighs 3,7kg now. A lot of growth since her birth weight of 1kg! :-D

Yesterday we went for her "6 week" checkup. Prof very happy with her. She's doing so well.

We will be measuring her milestones on her "corrected" age. That means, we count her age from when she would've been born (16 January) and not her birth date. So yesterday Vica's corrected age was 5 weeks. Scary! She's starting to give tiny smiles. So blessed.
