So I didn’t get my Vbac, but at the end, everything happened for a reason.
So here is my birth story. I started to get contraction round about 2h on Thursday morning. I started to time them. For a while they were 10min apart and then suddenly change to about 5min apart. 4h30 I woke DH and told him that he must get ready to go to the hospital. So we left at about 5h. At the hospital they started to monitor me and said that my contractions are pretty strong. I had about 4 in 10min. Dr came about 7h and did an internal. He said my cervix is pretty far back and only 1cm. So he said that they will monitor me during the day and then we can decide what to do. I really appreciated it that he gave me a fair change. 4h he said that he think we must rather do a C-sec that evening or if I want to wait until the next day and see what happens. But he doubt that anything will change during the night. I was so disappointed at first, and told my husband that I do not understand WHY, because I really ask the Lord to help me with everything, but now I know it was for the best. I think because I didn’t have a nice experience with my previous C-sec, I was so scared. Mia was born 18h46 on her due date. A Nice weight of 4.04kg. I’m really happy that I waited my full 40 weeks and didn’t listen to all the people that told me to rather go for a C-sec earlier. Mia is so much stronger. For this C-sec, it was so much better than the first one. I was up on my feed the next morning at 8h. It wasn’t so sore to get up. The only thing is, I fainted in the bathroom. Shame, the poor nurse couldn’t hold me so I hit the floor. My knee is still sore and my arm was blue were the nurse tried to hold me.
Well enough about the birth. Mia is such a sweet baby. She is on a nice 4hour routine. Last night she struggled with some cramps but we forgot to give her the gripe water. But we gave her some at 9h and then her bottle and she slept until 1h30 this morning.
Annie, I can’t give you an advice on breast feeding, as Mia is on formula milk, but I know that the first few weeks can be a bit overwhelming. I think that is why I decided with my first born not to BF. Call me a poor or selfish mother, because I know that BF is the best for a baby, but I think Emma turned out pretty well and she is very healthy. So you can only do your best, so don’t beat yourself up because you don’t have enough milk. You tried your best. Emma also had colic and I also took her to the Chiropractor, but he couldn’t find anything wrong with her. At the end it was the milk she was on. And we had her on NAN HA. My husband was allergic to his mother’s milk, which is why we decided on Nan HA. And you will see you will enjoy your daughter. I love my two princesses. Maybe it is because I’m a girly Mom. And you will see, as soon as she started to smile at you your heart will melt. That feeling when you enter a room and their face light up in a smile when they see you. It is priceless. And it is so nice when my oldest daughter come to me and wraps her arms around me and tells me: Mammie, ek is SSSOOOO lief vir jou.
Well I must go. All your little angles is so precious and beautiful. Heather, congrats on pushing out a 4.4kg baby out. Rather you than me.
Well, here is a photos of Mia.
