Hi Ladies,

No personals today unfortunately, will have to read quite a few posts to catch up.

Just a quick update on myself and Logan.

Logan was born on the 30 January, at 07:38 - weighing at 4.4Kg and 57cm long. Quite a big boy even if i was a week overdue.
Everything happened so fast with regards to my labour and everything, mucus plug came out at 21:17 and my water broke at 00:47. Went to hospital at 01:30 and was 3cm dilated. Total labour was 7 hours, very quick.

Logan is such a awesome baby and very strong. He is so relaxed compare to his sister at this age.

So far i have only had 1 bad night, where the winds were really eina mommy. Felt really bad that i couldnt help get the winds out.

Cant believe he is nearly 2 weeks old already, will be weighing him on the 16 Feb. Cant wait to see how much he has picked up, and if my milk is sufficient enough.

Will post again soon when i have caught up on all the post.

All my love to you mommies and mommies to be.

Heather

Why is it to grow a human takes so much effort? Third of your life someone is growing you, next third you are growing someone, and left over for your real life is the last third, when you are old already. Most of your life is gone on being grown and on growing others. Kind of make me sad. I am not very optimistic lately, hey? This 24/7 baby growing job is hectic! I want my life back! Ok, I’ll stop whining now.

Juandre – thank you, I will follow your advice, at the moment I give her Telament Gripe Water (non-alcoholic) about 3 times a day, and Telament Colic Drops other times. I am not sure if it helps, because on a bad day nothing seems to help. I didn’t do probiotics though, will try to add them and see if it makes a difference. I hope you feel better yourself, not sure how to relieve lots of pressure down there, except for having lots of rest and don’t stress and run round much. Are you doing a lot of running around?

Vision – thank you, your support means a lot to me. People say that from 3 months onward it will get better. Shame, swollen feet and hands, I totally hated that, especially because it binds you to bed and you cannot do much. Cooling foot gel from Clicks seemed to help me a bit.

Simone – thank you on info on vaccinations side effects, it’s good to be prepared, I am taking Tallulah in 10 days. Eisshsh, you went through some tough time! Ahhhh, and I wish I had all your milk, mine is just not rising, I am on Eglonyl and everything else, pumping it every 4 hours with hospital grade pup, it just stays low. I get a feeling my breastfeeding will not last more than 3 months, Tallulah is eating more and more food, so she gets more and more formula and my milk is becoming a drop in the ocean. Be grateful for your milk, God is very good to you and your baby, he will be so strong and healthy – for life!

ChubbyChick – cute picture! So kissable! :) Sorry, cannot advise on amniotic fluid, just try to google it, these days you can get answer on anything.

Hi ladies,

I just want to find something out. My niece is currently 30 weeks pregnant and according to her gynae her amniotic fluid is a bit on the 'low' side, if I can call it that. Now he told her to drink tons and tons of water. BUT I think it is bull and I asked my gynae if it will help and he said it is BULL too. He said anything you eat and drink goes to your stomach, so unless there's a tube going from your stomach to your uterus it won't work.

What do you think?

Hello ladies,

Vision- McKeilagh has her good and bad nights. Its her eye teeth that are keeping her up at the moment :(. Darn teeth.

I have another week until my appointment, cant wait. My vajajay is so sore of late- lots of pressure down there.

Next week is Dusi and so it will be hectic with seconding for hubby.

So upset- my vacuum seems to have broken. Was working the whole holidays, the day the maid got back it broke. I told her she will have to sweep until I can afford to replace it. And now ants have gotten into our gate motor and chewed something cause that isnt working. That means we have to get in and out the car all the time :(

It is so hot in Durban, and the usual summer humidity is the pits.

Oh well, enough of my moaning :D

Hello Ladies

Ashleigh congratulations she is beautiful! So happy for you that she is good and drinking well!!! how are her siblings taking to her. Dying to hear your birth story :)

Lumine you are doing a great job! Tallulah is lucky to have you. Just the fact that you ask questions and try to be better is great. It is so frustrating when they have winds and you just dont know how to help them. Hang in there it does get better :)

Simone wow sounds like you had a hectic night - so nice of your sister to help. Sleep makes everything better and makes moms more patient. We want a new pic of Josh - I am sure he has grown alot!!!

Chubbychick your LB is gorgeous! How are you feeling?

Angie how are you doing? Are you hanging in there - these last few weeks are killer especially in the heat!

Juandre thanks for the advice for winds. Will definitely keep it in mind. Is MG sleeping better?

Carolsch so glad all is going well with you and your new little boy! What does his brother think of them. From the FB photos it seems like is loves his new baby brother :)

cookiemonster how are things going with you? are you enjoying logan?

I am so swollen from the hectic heat lately. My feet and legs are terrible. Went to the gynae last week wednesday and all is still super duper.... Leah is 1.9kg so growing well. I go again on the 15th of Feb. Baby is head down so all still looking good for natural :)

Monring ladies,

Annie- McKeilagh also battled with gripes and this is what I gave her as per my clinic sister. I bought some Colix or Colief, you mix a few drops with breast milk before the feed. It helps break down the lactose in the breast milk. I also gave her 5 drops of Reuterina once a day- this is a probiotic so it just keeps all the bacteria in the tummy healthy. This combination worked like a bomb!!!!

Hope you all have a good day!!
