Hi ladies

Lumine your birth story is amazing...thanks for sharing!! And dont worry...even 2nd time round i feel like a 'poophole' some days.lol

Zel...scary stuff....but thank the Lord it all ended up okay!

Carol...ouch on sunburnt tummy!! and lol @ wanting to wee wee in back yard! ha ha

Ashleigh...i ate about 2L worth of ice a day! i started freezing water bottles at work, bashing the crap out of it once it was 80% solid and i would munch down until it was finished. Usually my nails went blue...lol. My colleagues couldnt understand....it tasted like the best thing in the world to me..sadly the craving is gone now:( Had the same craving with Addison...ice and exhaust fumes!

Oh Amanda look at your tiny little princess! I hope she puts on weight really fast....she is a real miracle child!

Ilse....you're starting a bad habit with shoes.lol. My mom shouts at me as Addsion owns over 30 pairs of shoes....and I dont stop buying...cant help myself...and she loves shoes as well...he he.

I'm loving the bump pics:)

Josh is great....just feeding often...man the boy loves boob!!!! Yesterday was so hot and he refused to sleep....got me a bit frustrated:( Today he is being an angel...i put him in babysense sling and he fell asleep in 2 minutes. Need to express now and then maybe nap or relax and watch some series:)

My big girl started play school yesterday. LOVES it. I cried my eyes out as expected. She was so excited to go back today so I hope it stays that way as I have heard things can change.

Sorry for those i missed...will try and catch up later again.

Zel and Lumine...pics of your little angels please:)

Hi Ladies

Lumine-Annie - Wow what a great birth story. Wow it is so great that everything went so good! You did not even tear! Congratulation!!!!! Cannot wait to see the pictures. Sjoe I remember how worries I was about correct feeding times. I also googled it a while back to refresh my memory ;) In fact I have to google alotof things!! Its like I forgot everything... Ruan used to drink 3 hourly. And I used to feel bad when I did not wake him for a feed. But that did not happen too often though. He was a hungry little boy!

Ilse - Wow beautiful room! And all that shoes! haha so cute :)

Angi Lovely pic ;) Time will start flying now! After you pass week 30 it just seems to go quicker and then at 35 it just stops. SIGH.

CC enjoy your appointment tomorrow!!

Ashleigh - I just had a glass of crushed ice. Was sooooo refreshing. :)

Amanda saw the pics on FB. She still looks so tiny in that little moses basket. tooooo cute!

Zell congrats on Ewan's Birthday! Sjoh a newborn, a birthday , you are a busy lady. How are you coping?

And Simone? all still good there with superman ;)?

AFM: Somehow my tummy got bit of a sunburn ontop. Just the top part. So angry. I even tried to stay out of the sun and used sunblock. I guess it was just TOO white. Hehe. But it isnot too bad.
DH decide to put up the tent in out backyard so he and Ruan could campout. Haha He ended up sleeping there alone. As soon as DH was asleep Ruan ditched him to come sleep in his room Hahaha. shame. But he enjoyed playing in it.
I feel worse every day. I really want him to pop out now, but I would really like him to come at the right time... I struggle to get up the stairs. I am considering doing my weewee in the back yard haha (just a joke) hmmmm.....
anyhoo have a great week girls

Lumine-Annie - There is a "cut off" as to how many hours a newborn can go without being fed. I'll have to google how many hours. Their blood sugar can drop or they might have jaundice.

I loved your birth story, thanks for sharing it. I "lived" myself in your story as I always wanted to give birth naturally at home but alas, my uterus is scarred (previous two myomectomies) so I couldn't.

My google results:
:)
kidshealth.org/parent/growth/sleep/sleepnewborn.html
At first, though, the need to feed will outweigh the need to sleep. Many pediatricians recommend that a parent not let a newborn sleep too long without feeding. In practical terms, that means offering a feeding to your baby every 3 to 4 hours or so, and possibly more often for smaller or premature babies. Breastfed infants may get hungry more frequently than bottle-fed babies and need to nurse every 2 hours in the first few weeks.

Vica came home yesterday. I am so much more relaxed! She weighs 2,020kg now (well yesterday). I have to wake her for her feeds at night. Her pediatrician said she must eat every 3 hours until she weighs 2,2kg at least. So silly - I have my alarm set for midnight and 3am ha ha ha. So tempted to just leave her to sleep! ha ha ha

Photo of Vica taken yesterday, her first day at home :-D

Happy healthy pregnancies ladies - the final stretch (pun intended) ;-)

Lumine, Congrats on your little girl. Enjoy her. Apologies I saw that you were not even on the list. Don't know how that happened. I have added you now.

To all the other ladies. Good luck for the last stretch. 30 more sleeps for me.

Congratulations Zel and Lumine on the births of your baby girls! :cheer:

Zel sorry about the complicated birth. I'm glad mom and baby are doing well. How is it going at home with having to 2 boys and a newborn?

Lumine your positive home birth story has made me more positive about my own home birth. I really hope mine goes as well as yours. Being a first time mom can be overwhelming, ask as much question as you need to ;) .

Chubby chick - good luck for your appointment tomorrow.

Carlene are you still at work?

Maureen how are you doing?

AFM - I'm back at work today after 3 weeks of leave..( I'm sure as young as what Zaylee is, I'm sure she knew i was going back to work. She cried so heart sore when i gave her back to her dad to leave. she made me cry with her )
We were at home the whole time and did alot of work in and around the house.

Our home birth plans are still on track I'm almost a 100% prepared at home with everything. We are going to see the midwife again at 36 weeks then they will be coming to do the 37 week check up at my house to make sure that they know the way to my house and that everything is in order to accomodate the birth at home.

I'm really struggling with this huge bump of mine, and baby's head on my bladder is also a challenge. I think i over did it when i was on leave. I was in alot of pain yesterday. It feels as if my tummy muscles are streched to the limit. i just have this feeling that this little one will be coming before her due date. Will have to wait and see.
