Hi ladies,

Lumine - Congrats with the birth of your LG! Glad everything went so well for you.

Cookie - Little time left.

Angi - we are very close in dates, but my tummy looks nothing like yours. I just look fat!

Carol - Not long for you as well. Wish I was 35 weeks already...

Ilse - Thanks for the updated list. Will know tomorrow what the definite date of the c-sec will be and will let you know then. As for the name, it is the english Peter and not Pieter :cheer:

Vision - Lovely pic of your tummy! Again, why am I the only one that only looks fat???

AFM: Getting more and more uncomfortable by the day. And getting hotter and hotter by the day. I have no energy for nothing come 14:00 every day. If I don't do something before then, I do nothing at all

Going to the Gynae tomorrow at 13:20. Will be 32w 1d. He will give me De Wet's estimated birth weight and we will finalize the c-sec date.

Hope all of you have a lovely day!

Tallulah Jade Rainbow Hamman was born on 6 of January 2012, 4:30 am. The baby girl is healthy, weighs 3.3 kg , height 52 cm. :) Photos a bit later. It was a natural birth at home, with the help of God, midwife Susan King, doula Rosalia Pihlajasaari, my husband FC Hamman, birthing pool, and Hypnobirthing method of M.Mongan. The labour was fairly easy and quick – 5 hours. It started suddenly, with 5 min apart contractions, than quickly moved to 2 min apart contractions. I did experience pain, only at 2 min apart contractions stage, but it was manageable. Apparently many people have no pain at all with Hypnobirthing, but everyone is different. Hypnobirthing allowed me to fully relax between contractions and speed up the process, visualisation techniques fully dilated my cervix in about 4.5 hours and helped the baby to come through in 20-30 min, no tear. God is great! Especially helpful was technique of visualising vagina to open as a rose, when I needed baby's head to come through. Without this tool at hand I'd totally freak out! She came out with hand in front of her face. The experience was quite powerful, not so much painful, rather emotionally overwhelming, I actually had orgasmic experiences during the process (?! Anybody have had that?). I was surprised myself that techniques actually worked. I do however feel tired due to all that loss of blood and low blood pressure, and of course baby wants all the attention (OMG! A LOT OF ATTENTION). Never mind the birth, the real challenge starts now. She eats only once in 4-5 hours (breastfeeding), I try to feed her every 2.5, but she refuses. Well, at this point everything worries me, I’ll have to ask all of you second- and third-time-moms lots of questions. :)

Zel – congratulations, most important thing in the situation is that the baby is fine and healthy (and pretty!), everything else will be healed and gone. Right now I am jealous, cause you have experience in babies and I feel like a poophole, not knowing what to do with Tallulah at all. She often looks at me with that serious baby look, like “don’t you get it mama?”

I will read everyone’s recent posts in the next few days, cannot seat for long at the moment (ouch!)

Zelf congrats on Millay's birth, so sorry for the scary experience but glad you both are well...

Lovely pics ladies...

Illa hope your feeling better now, don't feel bad bout a c-section, your baby will come into this world safe and sound , a c-section is a major story and you deserve the right to birth your baby how you feel fit, I'm anyway also going to be a proud C-section mommy...

Carlene ouch on getting up so many times, I thought my twice an eve was a lot.

Juandre hope the teething goes smoothly, sounds like you enjoyed the break...

Carol not to long till you meet your LB,

Mandy congrats on the birth of your LG and thank you for sharing your birth story...

hI ALL,

ZelF - Millay is so beautiful. She's got the cutest little nose! Congrats! Sorry about all the problems with c-sec  Atleast you were kind of prepared because they said the placenta was a problem, but it is still scary! So glad you and Millay are OK :) Hope for a swift recovery.

Lelie ek dink die terrible two's moet eintlik die terrible 1-4 wees. Bly alles gaan so goed met die swangerskap.

Ilse, I saw you were in hospital for the kidney stones OUCH! Hope you are feeling better now. Don't feel bad about c-sec. Its not like it easy, as you know ;) it bloody hurts. Thank for taking over from Zel. :)

I don't think we have to feel bad because we are getting c-secs. People think a c-sec is the easy way, but in actual fact it is a very big surgery. As we have now heard, it can go wrong with al kind of complications. And recovery time also differs the second time. The only people that get it easy with a c-sec is the baby, if all goes well it is less stress for them, and the doctor doing the op. So I don't think you need to feel bad.

Vision - cute bump ;) I don't think I will share my bump.. it is too huge haha. Glad bekah enjoyed the water. And atleast you could relax a bit.

Miss Kay - my fist c-sec was really smooth sailing! So I am also getting scared now...

Simone - yay for Addison being such a big girl at school :)

Carlene - I totally understand your bladder giving you a hard time. A weight of 3 - 3.2kg is quite heavy. I don't know how you are still able to work! Toemaar amper daar, ne!

AFM: Yay my maid is in hahaha. So I can relax. Well not really, I am soooo busy this is the firts few minutes I get that I can drink a cup of coffee.
I really sruggle walking. It hurts down THERE!!!! I think he is ready to come out now!
helping hubby out with his work was not such a great idea! Anyway chat to you soon
