Hi ladies

Hope everyone had a nice relaxing looog weekend. No more holidays until Sept24th I think June 16th is on a Saturday so no long weekend

@Joybaby: shoo! still nauseous??? that's hectic! but at least it's a good sign that baby is definitely in there and growing nicley. maybe its a boy & you are struggling with his testosterone...

@mutha2b: I love the name Alikhe! Still struggling to find a Pedi name But maybe after we know gender, it'll be easier.

AFM: work is sooooo hectic! It is actually starting to depress me. Got a call from my boss on Monday whilst i was away on leave asking what was happening on a certain deal and that i needed to update the client. SHE is the one eho hasn't reviewed the thing so i have nothing to tell the client except that i am still waiting on HER to review and give me her comments! I was so anoyed! We are shortstaffed as two senior members of our team have resigned and they havent managed to replace them yet. So now everyone is under so much pressure

Anyway, I feel like I'm the only one who does know whether baby is an Adam or an Eve yet I have made an appointment with my gynae for next tuesday but I'm thinking of asking him to do a gender scan for me on Saturday and mabe I can suprise hubby...I'll ask him & see what he says.

can't wait to start shopping! I find it very hard to shop without knowing the gender of the baby. i feel like that will influence all my decisions on what to get him/her. I can't even buy plain white vests. i feel like I NEED to know 1st. Is that weird?

My mom bought the baby 4 packs of 6 x 82 packets of Pigeon wipes while we were in Eastern cape this past weekend. it looks like A LOT of wipes (24 packets) but i can't actually remember how fast newborns go through them. we're keeping those ones in East London becasue I will spend about a monththere whilst on Maternity leave depending on how often hubby can come to visit us & how much we miss home. Also, would have to take my LG out of her creche for that time but I've started looking into putting her into a creche in East London for a month. Will that be too disruptive for her...with a new sibling as well? too many changes at once? Eish, I need to think carefully about all of this, and soon.


Going to doctor this afternoon. My throat is sore, I have a headache & my whole body feels quite sore. Yesterday I was so much worse. Feels like a REALLY bad cold minus the sneezing & runny nose.

Anyway, talk about a mammoth post.

Hope you all doing extremely well.

Sorry been a bit MIA lately - they broke into our offices last week and stole all our computers and servers. So we have had nothing to do any work on and the work is piling up. It does not look like we going to get any computers up and running any time this week either. We have some laptops that each person gets a chance at. Very frustratin.


belaine - good luck for the exams.
JB - I hope you start feeling better with the nausea - surely it needs to settle down a little now.
Robyn - hope you had a lovely time away.

So i went for my 20 week scan today and all is well with our LG. SHe is growing nicely just the right weight and size for 20 weeks. We got such a nice pic - I must just see how i can upload it here to show you all.

So I am alot less stressed out these days cos I can feel her move - lots - which makes me stress a little less.

She weighs 345g and is 10.1cm - i can't believe how small that actually is and everything is so well developed already. It is quite amazing to have this little tiny being inside you and growing......

I started unpacking a few of my 3 year old's baby things out and it turns out that I have everything we need. Well just about - I will go out and at least buy a few things to call this baby's own. I feel a bit bad cos she is just going to get all the hand me downs. Money is a bit tight this time round and surely can't go overspending as much as I did with my first. At least we still have all the big baby things too which does help alot.

So now the holidays are all over - and it is back to the grindstone. For at least the next 4 months and then its maternity leave for 4 months. whoo hoo......

I just wish we would get our computers already so I can start doing my work - its really demotivating and tiring sitting here all day long with nothing to do.... and people calling you wanting things done and you can't do it. Very frustrating. But at least it is a short week this week.

Thanks Mutab cant wait for the exam to be over and done with, i had some help today so i have some time no to study at work.

I have a kitchentea after work actually not lus to go, and then family on the weekend luckily they staying over at mil and then ouma is going back next week and the weekend is the wedding and then its the exam the wednesday after and then countdown to the 29 may for my gynea app.

Jb sounds complicated will try when i have some time. Its pitty that you still feel sick i really cant complain.
The last couple of days my boobs are extremely sore and my ankles hurt in the joints

And yesterday all i wanted to do is eat but i think its stress for the exam dont have anything to do with the pg.

I have whats app, no BBM for me. Hubby is very against them, cos in his job he always lands up having to fix them and trouble shoot them so he wont let me get one.

I am really missing some of the original members of our group! It certainly gets quiet here!

We are doing fairly well. Little one is 14 weeks now, it's going by so fast this time around! I still have to pinch myself because although I still suffer with nauseous, I have indigestion, and I cannot drink wine or eat sushi, I dont feel pg at all!
Gynae appointment is 2 weeks from today, and hopefully LO will cooperate so we can find out if it's a Rae or a Kai. I bought his/her first stuff today. Just some bibs and a new bottle brush. Looking forward to knowing gender so that I can sort through clothes and start buying a few oufits myself.
A friend of mine who had her last baby in Sept last year has a bag full of maternity clothes for me so I'm looking forward to going through to fetch it hopefully this weekend. Although I still dont look pg and have actually lost 4kgs thanks to all day sickness till about 10 weeks which appears to subside and then strikes back with a vengeance still today. But I know I've grown cos my clothes from last winter, being the same weight, are fitting rather snug!

I have a head cold which really sucks! All I can use is saline nose spray and ponados. I dont feel too bad except that my nose is permanently blocked so I struggle to breath while doing anything else eg eating, sleeping, talking etc.
K is a total bundle of energy lately! The last 2 days she's gone till 3:30pm before falling asleep for a 30 minute nap!
I caught the cold from Kaylee who had a throat infection last weekend and broke out in a scarlet fever type rash. Her fever got so high we rushed her to ER on last Sat night to ensure her little heart was okay. Once the fever broke (about 4 days in total) she was much better, but because of the rash we had to take her back to our GP the following Monday to ensure it wasnt measles or some such virus.

I am going for 2 interviews this week. One for a multifaceted company who have a few different admin type jobs open. And another is for a temp position at a bank in Stellenbosch. It'll help pay some bills.

Sorry for my long catch up. It's been a while!

DH is trying to get Kaylee to sleep, but it sounds like he's not having any luck.
I really hope she settles soon I had a very rough day with her.

A few names that I love and can suggest are: Onalenna (He/God is with me); Omphile (God has blessed me with a gift); Oratile (like Othandile); Tlholego (nature); Palesa (same as Mbali, flower). All except for Palesa are unisex.
For a Xhosa name if it's a boy, I would have chosen Alikhe/Akhile; Milani.

I have been getting Braxton hicks often theses days. My uterus gets so hard it's scary!!!

Im busy studying for my exam the 16 may i just want to get it over and done with and then its just 2 weeks before my scan the 29 May!!

OMW - another bad night

DH got back at 19h30 and put D to bed - he stayed with her for 30mins til she fell asleep
but as soon as he left, she got up and screamed so much that she got sick again
Abit later DH thought she would be hungry so he gave her some cereal and she again got sick
but ALL OVER DH AND THE CARPET!!! (I'm sure you all know how difficult it is to get vomit smells out a carpet?!
thankfully the maid is there today!)
I eventually calmed her down (after she watched me clean the carpet for about 30mins!!!)
and got her to sleep (thankfully she slept thru)
Basically, I covered the front of the cot so she couldn't see when I left and put a pillow against her back
so it felt like my hand was on her back the whole time and then I snuck out
I don't know what is going on with her now - and this happens the week we are going away!
We'll just have to take turns sitting with her til she falls asleep in the park and keep the monitor on
