1sttimer - i am relieved that all is well. Now just rest and take it easy for the next couple of weeks.

Robyn_C : Oh no, you also had a sick house the easter weekend, I was to glad to be indoors the whole weekend. Hope you guys are doing much better now.

I am so glad that DH has come around. Now you can focus on the LG arriving in the next couple of months.

Arrrggghhh - we had the worst Easter weekend ever!!!!

Dakota started off with teething runny tummy, then she started with the vomiting
On Fri, I couldn't keep anything down (not even water!) I thought it was bad MS but then
the tummy cramps & pains started
On Sat, DH came down with a fever, turned to vomiting, cramps etc
On Sun, MIL (who looks after D) got flu, so when I felt better on Mon eve, I had to take off work yesterday
to look after a sick baby and a sick DH (even worse!!)
So all in all, the most miserable long weeekend ever
With all the rain, we couldn't even go outside
At least D is better now (she does have a runny nose tho) and DH is booked off til Fri!

I was so worried about the cramps (and another MC ) but no bleeding and the cramps went,
so I feel ok now

And thankfully DH was so sick that he didn't have time to think about how disappointed he is
that he actually spoke about MacKenzie by name (he bought Dakota a snow globe when she was born
and we were playing with it yesterday and he said he will have to buy M one as well )
I was so relieved!!

Thanks very much for the posts. Scan looks ok. Baby measures 6w2d and they could see a heart beat so that's great! ER Doc says I just take it easy for a few days and stay off sex and the gym atleast until I see my gynae on Tues. So now just holding thumbs baba sticks!

Will post longer and reply to everyone later. Bit shattered at the moment!

Monic@R: I am sure what you feeling is your lil baba, starting to do cartwheels. Friday is around the corner. Your LG is probably feeling the baby, and starting to get little bit jealous.

Belaine: LOL for your MIL and the DSTV. Happy anniversary to your and DH, may you spare many more happy healthy years together. So jealous that you half way already. I just cant wait to get to 12 weeks. Seems like an eternity away.

1st time: i also spotted with my daughter, it was exactly like JB said. Doctor said it was old blood (or still part of the implantation bleeding). Finger crossed that all is well. Will be thinking of you! Let us know what the outcome is.

JB: i will keep a look out for you, we will be getting some vacancies now, it usually happens around increase time. (i work at Sanlam Head office).

AFM: My weekend was pretty boring. All i did was sleep. Whole family was sick so we stayed indoors all weekend. When my daughter slept i slept, and that was a good 4 hour stretch at a time. DH got some movies that i never got a chance to watch, munched on chocolates when i was awake.
My mom came to visit on saturday and MIL on sunday.
By monday i think i developed bed sores of all the laying. So i went with Dh to canal walk to get the dogs their food and meds. Went shopping for Qa-ilah for some winter clothes. She is such a difficult child to shop for. pants is 6-12 or 12-18months. Tops is 18-24 months, so getting full tracksuits is a nightmare. Oh boy and shoes.
DH told me last night that i am getting fat I have actually lost 1.8kg since i found out 2 weeks ago. But he says it must be a boy that i have back fat and my tummy looks huge. I think my tummy just looks flabby .

Seems like most of you will be going for your scans soon. I still have 19 days to wait. My nerves cant handle it and i do not want to go waste money at the GP to check that everything is ok. I will just have to trust that all is well.

I really feel for you right now!
I had spotting with Kaylee too from 6-8 weeks.
Brown is normally considered 'old' blood either from implantation or as the fetus burrows deeper into the uterine lining it can continue to shed some blood in the first trimester.

From my own experience, when I didnt have spotting I had a missed MC. The only time I had spotting was when 2 weeks after baby died my body started to MC and the spotting and cramps came together.

When I did have spotting without any cramps it ended up okay and Kaylee is almost 20 months old now.

The lower back pain is also normal. My gynae explained it as deferred pain, so its from ur uterus growing and you feel the pain in your back. I had it with my 1st pregnancy and with this one but not with the last one. I had it now until about 10 weeks.

Please keep us informed! And I would seriously suggest going for bloods today, and 2 days from now to see what your HCG levels are doing.

Belaine I'm glad you had a decent weekend without too much interference.
At the end of the day its your decision, they cannot control your financial decisions.
Congrats on your anniversary! Hope you had an enjoyable evening. And I'm sure this year will go much better for you than last!

About feeling movement, it also depends on where your placenta is. If it is in front then baby kicks against that and you cant feel it as much. But I'm sure you will feel the movements very soon especially as LO gets bigger and space becomes limited!

Monica I am praying for you that after this scan you can start relaxing a bit again. It's about now that you'd start to feel baba move, but only in a few weeks will you know for sure so try not let ur mind play tricks on you about it!
And thankfully its a short week so Friday is only 2 days away now
My scan is next week Tuesday and I also cannot wait! I will have passed the 12w mark and once I see baba I will start relaxing a bit too.
I am also super lazy / tired these days, dont have any energy to do anything plus if I dont get a good night's sleep I'm totally hammered the next day just as well I'm not working cos I often take a mid day nap.
Dont worry I wont be doing any heavy lifting with the move. My job is making an itinerary and packing things so that we can easily access it when needed cos most of it will go into storage.
Will only move once we have a tenant, and cos we own the place we cannot start packing till we know we have to move so its rather frustrating. Although I have thrown a lot of stuff out already so there will be less to pack.
And I'm sure LO can feel your stress and she is old enough to understand that some changes will be coming her way in a while.

Robyn how was ur easter? Did u do everything you planned?

Mandz I also had a scare of a Blighted Ovum with my last pregnancy. Went in at 6 and a bit weeks and couldn't find baba just the sac. Thankfully we'd been doing HCG bloods cos I was having spotting, and this indicated that there was definitely a pregnancy (BO the HCG count rises but too slowly until it slows down and starts falling) so Dr didnt say anything and just had us come back at 8weeks.

AFM all is going okay I think Yesterday I was very nauseous, and today its okay but I can feel its lingering about as if any strong smell will set it off.
I must actually get on the scale to see what its doing. I am at least mostly managing to keep food down.
Tummy feels very bloated and struggling a bit with IBS. I generally look 6m pregnant but its not cos of the current pregnancy, its the 10kgs I still havent lost from last time all around my tummy plus the bloatedness bleh.
But DH told me the other day my boobs were looking very big! Not sure that's something I (Being a D/DD cup) want to hear just yet!
Taking Kaylee for her cardiologist follow up appointment post operation. It's 2 weeks overdue, but she was in hospital with bronchialitis the day we should've gone. It's just a clinical check up, no echo, but will give me chance to ask the Dr for some clarity around what was done in the op cos it hasnt all been discussed with us.
Otherwise life's pretty dull Still looking for work, and trying to stay motivated.
Could really do with a night out of movies and all you can eat panarotis but financially its not possible at this point.

Hi guys. Am sitting at the ER freaking out. Went to the toilet this am and wiped brown (6w5d). I have no cramps or anything other than the lower back pain i've had since conception. Really hoping everything is fine but not feeling to confident. Did anyone else have this bleeding? I went to gym yesterday am but it was a light workout - step machine and bicycle... Going for scan now. Please cross fingers!
