Oh Mandz! I am so so sorry to hear that! You must be devastated! I also had a weird MC-ish thing last November and had to have a D&C. I was put under anaesthetic so obviously didn't feel any pain but felt a bit nauseous afterwards and the slightest period-pain like feeling but it only lasted for a few hours.

Huge hugs and hope that your heart will heal in time.

Wish I had the words to say. As you say it happens more often than we realize I think only through forums like this does one see how much.
I didnt have a BO but a missed MC where we saw baby hb at 6w5d but by 7w1d baby had died. I know there's a reason for it which is what gave me peace but it took time.
Re the surgery, it's a D & C where they clean out your womb of the products of conception. It's a day procedure and is fairly quick. Take pads with you, as there will be bleeding afterwards, and take the pain meds they give you. Big hugs

Elamsmom I found out the gender at my 16w scan so hopefully baby is lying right for you to see too

Belaine that sounds like a bit of a predicament. One thing you'll have to consider is baby feeds every 2-4hrs at that age so you'll have to make stops for feeding.
Otherwise they are awake for 45-60mins at a time and still sleep a lot. You should probably sit in the back of the car with LO for the drive. and if ur breastfeeding u'll have to stay well hydrated and rest well.
Re buying baby stuff maybe MIL doesnt want u to buy everything cos then nothing left for them to buy?
Your relationship with MIL is probably one of the most challenging once there is a little one around. They try and be helpful in their own way but in the end you must do what works for you. By now you can start buying things like nappies and wet wipes, trust me you want to stockpile on those things while you have the cash to cos these kids are expensive! And once you know the gender you can start buying some clothing. Try leave things like toys / towels & blankets / bottle stuff for the baby shower tho.

Moomies I am gutted. Turned out to be blighted ovum and would have been 8 weeks. I have been booked in for surgery tomorrow. My heart is broken.

If I can remember a few of you experienced BO too,any advice on the surgery and coping. Just realised Im really not pregnant anymore so wont have any news to share but will pop by to see how everyone is doing.

Most of you are past the first trimester wohooooo! Exciting times, hope babes show pink or blue for those finding out.

Insert sad face....Ive cried a lot today and Im not sure I have any more tears left.

So I am in for surgery tomorrow and on Tuesday J goes in for tonsils ans adenoids to be removed.

Was the baby hiding its girl/boy bits? or the doc just didn't want to tell you?

I am going for my next appointment/ operation to put in the stitch at 16wks 3 days. I am desperatley hoping to find out the gender at that appointment.

nope we couldnt see and i was 16w5d at the app the dr joked about it and said we can wait till the baby come
