Hi Ladies

At least it's Thurs!!!!!! One more sleep til the weekend

@JB - Bio Oil is very good, but if you don't like the texture, rather try something else
there are so many on the market, it's difficult to know which one will work
So excited for your scan!! Still another 2 weeks til mine :(
Best of luck for the interviews!!!

Hey girls.

Monica oh my word, that is so heartbreaking. You are a strong lady!
Do they check for leaking amniotic fluids in subsequent pregnancies?
Shame hun :(
I'm very glad to hear your daughter was born healthy allbeit a bit early.

Shame good luck on the hormones, its really hard cos its not like we can pop a pill for it like we can nausea or heartburn :(
I was really struggling with it in my first pregnancy, my gynae suggested I take primeve plus which is for PMS / Menopause. However this time around I dont plan on taking anything unnecessary.

I feel its still too early for me to buy anything, since I havent even had a scan yet.
But soon as I know pink or blue I'll definitely go buy a special outfit or two!

I really struggled with stretch marks last time. Got my first stretch mark at 13 weeks. Gynae recommended Dermastine (the one without Vit A) which incidentally Kaylee's heart surgeon also recommends for her scar.
It is very pricey though, and I cant say how well it worked cos I still have a roadmap full of stretch marks. The ones on top are mostly faded lighter, but the lower ones are very big and ugly :( I'm just applying that one pregnancy stretch mark cream that contains cocobutter daily, dont like the smell much though but I really dont like the texture of bio oil.

Robyn shame hun, I really feel you :( And when you're driving you cant really do much about it! Funny enough I'm finding milk really helps. But I forgot to buy more today :(
Why dont you consider telling your boss / colleagues if you're struggling with it? I've been so nauseous that I def would not have handled a coffee shop smell! I am eating the blandest foods with the easiest texture to chew on.
Please take a belly pic for us to see? :D :D :D

My nausea seems to have subsided the last two days. It was back a little bit this afternoon but nothing like I had last week. My gosh I could not imagine another entire month of that! And ginger beer is gross and expensive :(
But on the other hand I start panicking when its gone. What irony.

2 more days until my scan! I'm really scared cos of our history, but also excited because if all is well then I can start relaxing a bit!

Went for an agency interview in town yesterday. Would be a fantastic opportunity for me, and its in the industry which I am most knowledgeable in, Shipping.
The salary could be nice too. I just dont know about the travelling into town, I'd have to leave home at 6:30am to get to work on time, and then only get home after 6pm at night :( Not to mention the fuel cost.
Another company closer to home contacted me as well, also nice cos its so close, they are offering a tad less than I need so trying to see if they are flexible. My only concern is because its a small company I'm not sure how good it'd be for me long term as its difficult to get hired into bigger companies later on.

I havent really had any other symptoms or problems that I can think of. Last time by now my wedding ring was already not fitting me properly, so thats a good sign this time. We had to get it resized cos my fingers never returned to pre pregnancy size. Not to mention my shoe size!
I'm also not really tired, and I often go to bed after 11pm and struggle to fall asleep. Not sure if its cos I have a lot on my mind.
Oh well, 2 days till I'll feel a lot better about it all!

Who is going for their scan next?

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Hi Ladies

shame ladies - you all suffering from MS. Hopefully it starts easing off soon enough. That feeling for all day queasiness is really horrible. At least 1 consolation is that if you feel this bad, baby is doing well ;-)

Joybaby - My son was stillborn at 32 weeks in 2007. It was the most awful horrible experience and I certainly don't wish it even on my worst enemy. Somehow, somewhere I was losing my amniotic fluid - albeit very very slowly, cos i never noticed anything and due to there not being any fluid around the baby protecting him, he got an infection and it killed him. The only thing i noticed was that he was not moving anymore and when i went to the doc he confirmed that baby was dead inside for a few days already. Terribly sad and heartbreaking to have to try and deliver a dead baby. I was induced as my doc wanted me to try give birth naturally, but it did not work and so had to have a ceasar. My ceasar was 3 hours long - the doc tried to clean out alot of the infection inside me and I landed up in ICU for 2 days thereafter.

But we stayed positive and next time round my beautiful LG was born healthy and happy. Due to me having been so stressed out the doc decided to take her out at 36 weeks - she was fine, did not have to got Neonatal.

And now we pregnant again - yes expecting a girl but im sure that will be confirmed at the next appointment in april.
ELAMSMOM - i also thought it would be too early to tell the sex of the baby at 12 weeks but they can't see if it is a girl or boy - they do some sort of measurement and 99% of the time this measurement is accurate.

My hormones are really raging at the moment and my poor BF is getting the brunt of it. We had a huge fight on the weekend, all because of my hormones and pregnancy and grumpiness. But its all sorted out now. Im kind of hoping since Im in my 13th week now the MS, hormones and grumpiness, tiredness etc etc gets a bit better now until the last trimester.... here's hoping to that!!

so have you ladies started buying things yet???
I have not - i did however buy a bulk pack of baby wipes... thats all ive gotten so far.

what do you use on your skin with the itchiness and stretch marks?

Hope you all doing well and have seen your bean for the first time too....

chat soon

JB - no, they are still trying to decide if they should try again for the last time
but she has now started smoking  so I really don't know what's going to happen!

Had my first blood tests yesterday for my FA scan in 2 1/2 weeks (took 4 vials)

But had a really bad morning yesterday - felt so nauseas in the car, I almost threw up
plus our weekly management meeting was at a coffee shop a few blocks away from the office,
and when it was time to leave, I got so dizzy (also from the heat) that I couldn't stand up for a few minutes
Again this morning with the MS and my tummy is really starting to show - I don;t know if i can wait til the end of the month!
