@Monic@R. I also am in that limbo stage where I know I'm pregnant but don't really "feel" pregnant. There is the occassional nausea and sometimes i get tired easily, but I must say, this time, I am doing MUCH better than with my 1st pregnancy. then, I couldn't even make it through the work day without needing to go & catch a nap in my car.

I'm also thinking of starting to buy nappies, wipes, bath soaps and creams etc which I know baby will use for at least 2 years. But i think I'll wait till after 12 weeks to do that. or at least till after my gynae appointment this Friday.

Our LG's pram is like a light blue colour so will be ok for a boy as well.

I used Avent for my LG's bottles but thinking of changing to Tommie tippie now so will need new microwave steriliser, bottle warmers etc.

Are you ladies (2nd time moms) going to use the same bottle brands?

Morning

My due date is 14 September - however as I will be having a ceasar im sure baby will come end of Aug.

I will go and get myself some chelapreg - thanks.

I must say that I keep forgetting and have to remind myself that I have to go and buy baby things - nappies, wipes etc etc

im certainly not keeping myself up to date on all the latest preggie mags or anything like that like i did the first time round....I think im still in this like limbo state of knowing that you pregnant but don't really believe it yet..., he he :cheer:

i think Im also waiting to see what team the baby is going to be - if it is a girl then I will have alot of things already I will just have to go through all my LG's old things that I have kept. If it is a boy then i will have to start from scratch. So i think until then - not much is going to happen - maybe just start buying some nappies and wipes.

How are you all feeling today?
i woke up exhausted - not sure how im going to cope today....

Chat later

Hi Monic@R: Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! What is your Expected due date?
Mine is 30 September.

I am taking Pregnavit & Folic acid. I haven't been to the gynae yet, only going on Friday, but that's what he gave me last time. You can also try Chelapreg. I actually preferred Chelapreg the last time cos Pregnavit had this medicinal smell that I just could not handle! I'm thinking of changing to chelapreg now as well.

@Belaine: ya, I think our best bet is to go for a more neutral themed room. I want to do the room over the next 2 months and won't know new baba's gender by then.

I must say, I am a lot more chilled this time around. I used to obsessed. Spending all day on the internet chatting & googling about baby stuff  The 2nd time moms, are you findoing yourself more relaxed or the same?

Hi Ladies

congrats to you all! Looks like I will joining you all on your/our journey until Sep/Oct...

Im going on 10 weeks this week - so also still early days, although I have seen the gynae twice already.
I went quite early the first time due to my history I wanted to see someone to make sure that all was on track.
so we went when i thought I was 6 weeks but the scans said that I was only like 5 weeks. We could not see anything inside the sac and the doc said that it may be a blighted ovum. I was anxious and scared - did not want to go through any of that all over again. She sent me for bloods adn thankfully the levels doubled nicely so we had to go back for a scan 10 days later. I saw the doc again on 6 FEb and it was confirmed - could see the bean with the heartbeat - so all is on track.
The next appointment is at 12 weeks which is 7 March. I just cant wait.

I was feelilng absolutely horrid with nauseaus but thankfully that is starting to wear off slowly and only feel a bit in the mornings - but now by the time the afternoon comes I can't keep my eyes open and im generally just about sleeping by 7pm.
Is anyone else so tired?

My gynae said that i should not start any vitamins yet as I was feeling so nauseaus as she said that it would make you feel worse than you do.
Now that Im starting to feel a bit better - Im wonddering what preggie vitamins to go and get. I am on folic acid already but nothing else. Any suggestions?

FX for everyone that your pregnancies go according to plan and at the end of the day we all have healthy happy babies to show off! :cheer:

Hi there

Ja its my first one (second pregnancy but had blighted ovum with the first one) so im sometimes a bit overwhelmed of being a first time mom and dont know what to expect.

Got a cute manicure set and thermometer last night at my bil and his girlfriend they are visiting from the eastern cape.

Elamsmom why dont you do something like shrek that will suit a boy and a girl.

We are having a mickey mouse theme.

What I have heard that if MS is bad its a girl and if heartburn is bad then baby have lots of hair.

Mrs SH hope you happy with the new gynea Im going to my dr next week saturday then will be 12wks5d and then going to my gynea in Middelburg (we live in Marble Hall) at the end of March when I will be 16wks and hoping to see what team.
Glad you have an understanding boss that helps

@ Tiagosmom: I guess 1st prize is to have one of each, a girl & a boy.

For my LG's 2nd birthday this year, I am decorating her room. Up to now, she has been sleeping with us in a campcot but she is getting too big for it now.

Problem is...how do i decorate the room if i don't know if no.2 is team pink or team blue? & if it is team blue, I can't have half the room girly & the other half boyish :( We have a 3 bedroom house & the 3rd bedroom we use a guest bedroom so the kids will ahve to share a room for now.

Hi Elamsmom, regarding the sickness stuff I also heard that but with my son I wasnt sick at all and he was obviously a boy. I would love a lg this time but I think its another boy which will also be perfect but would be nice to have someone to dress up etc.
