Hi ladies

So, this morning I was having a cup of coffee and a toasted sandwich and was suddenly hit by such a huge wave of nausea that I had to run to the loo to throw up (sorry for TMI) That was the 1st time I've actualy thrown up. With 1st preg & this one so far, it has just been the occassional bouts of nausea. This one has actually been better than my 1st pregnancy ito the nausea.

Do you guys believe in the theory that if you aren't that sick during your pregnancy then that means you are probably having a girl?

@Mrs SH & Tiagosmom: My 1st born was April 2010 so also going to have a 2 year gap (well, 2 1/2). I'm also bracing myself for about the 1st year then hopefully they'll keep each other entertained & I can relax

I haven't been for my 1st scan yet. I have only confirmed the pregancy at a GP who did a urine test. Going for 1st scan on Friday. Should be 8 weeks, 5 days on Friday. Can't wait! But also a bit nervous. I almost had a MC at 17 weeks last time and had to get a Shirodkar stitch put in to close the cervix so gynae is going to check if I need the stitch put in again as a precautionary measure.

Tiagosmom - Hi! How far along are you now? Are you a bit nervous about the 2 year gap? I'm readying myself for one tough year and then when they can play together, it should get easier. Theoretically. hehehe.

I'm going to the gynea on 28 February. I'm swopping gyneas. I was with Dr Deale. He was great and I don't have any particular complaints about him. I've just heard such great things about Dr Truter that I'm going to give him a try also. A doctor is a doctor at the end of the day. As long as baby comes out healthy and happy, I'm happy.

Belaine - is this your first one? Ag it's so precious hey. I will try your advise re pregvit at night. I vaguely also remember that you shouldn't take iron together with your preggy vits as it can make your nauseaus too.

I told my boss yesterday as I've been suffering so badly and it's really affecting my personality and performance. She was so kind and understanding. I am a firm believer in waiting 12 weeks, but I didn't want her to think that I was slacking off. We have only told our parents and then the friends that you can't lie to - the ones that know you too well...

Hi Mrs SH congrats. We had our first babies round the same time I remember you from the JUne 2010 group. Im also feeling horrible with terrible migraines and nausea. When are you ladies going to go see the doc for your 1st appointment? I'm going on 3 March very excited. Feeling horrible cant wait for these first couple of weeks to pass.

Congrats fellow Spring mommies.

I think I'm about 7/8 weeks. I had my bloods done two weeks ago and it was 23441! So I reckon I'm pregnant hey...

My son is 20 months now.

We were extremely lucky - it happened as soon as we said let's start trying for no.2. Hubby is disappointed that it didn't take long (less practice you see), because I'm so freaking nauseas the whole time - he ain't seeing too much action!

Is anyone else suffering from nausea? It's KILLING me!
