Izzels that is so exciting shoe now I cant wait for our scan next week although I will be a bit behind you as I will then be 11 weeks 6 days at the scan. CONGRATS ON A GIRL!!!!! Also really happy to know that there is a small chance that they will see the gender at the scan ( although I dought it as I will be a bit less then you and mrs_tl )

Hi Mammas & mommies!

Just came from the scan and oh my what an incredible experience!! First time during this pregnancy that I was really emotional, but in a good way! Everything looks 100% fine, toes fingers, heart, kidneys everything is just perfect and our downs risk and spina bifida risk is very low. We even saw baby opening its mouth and swallowing amniotic fluid. Sooo cute!!

Gender question... It's a very clear GIRL. Legs was stretched out open wide. hehe!! So.. that means any gender is possible to see at 12 weeks!

I was certain its a boy and was secretly hoping for a boy since I can remember, so Im still shocked that my "mother instinct" was wrong. Shows you, you never know!!

It was an incredible experience for both me and my husband!!

So, 2 girls so far on here, lets see which other friends wil turn up.

Only 5 more days to my first scan.....

I'm starting to feeling better. Was telling my friend - either the nausea is getting better OR the constant eating is helping OR I'm just getting used to it
Think its probably a combination of the first 2... I tend to eat BEFORE i feel empty and get nauseas, seems to help

But the eating might be a problem later on... I'm too scared to climb on a scale right now - my stomach has popped out, I look bigger now than I did when I was 6 MONTHS with my first
If it weren't for winter and lots of layers, there would be NO way to hide it at work!
Not that I really care if they find out - just plan on waiting for the first scan.

Thank you all for the very walm welcome. I hope i can see the sex at my scan on the 12th August. will be just over 12 weeks. I dont know why but i think it will be a boy. Ive always wanted a boy but since i found out i was pregnant i now want a little girl. but at the end of the day i wont mind what i have. a little me would be lovely though

Welcome mrs_tl - one thing i cant stand the smell of is boerewors for some reason. and every day at work i smell it coz of the ppl cooking it every morning next to my work.
When i went for my 8 week scan the length of my bean said i was 9 weeks. I timed the ovulation from my last period so i knew i was definately 8 weeks. must be a big bean then.

Very exciting to have such close due dates and a spot on due date with hopeful. lol

Im based in durban so we got a mama magic show coming up soon - very excited for that.

Hi there and thanks for the welcome! My nausea started to get better about 2 weeks ago - I almost didn't notice when it passed but I realised over the weekend, as we drove past a KFC that I didn't want to throw up because of the smell anymore. Yup, I'm a firm lover of the Colonel and his food but for some reason I just couldn't stand the smell.

Hi Mrs Tl welcome to our group!!!! so excited for a new mom and I am really happy that every thing is well with your little one!!!!! Congrats on a little girl see this makes me excited as I hope that we will also be able to tell the gender of the baby at one of the early scans!!!!!!!!!!

So has your nausea passed? when did it come to an end?
