Hi Ladies,

Enjoy your baby showers!! I'm not even sure if Iwill have one yet (being second baby and all) but sure the mom's will sort something out closer to the time Will just have to wait and see......

I had my glucose tolerance test on Monday, and all I can say is !! That drink is disgusting!!! I'm seeing the midwive tomorrow morning, so hopefully she has the results by then. The test itself wasn't too bad, just had to hang around for about 2 1/2 hours to wait for the blood draws.

So far the decision is that I will work till 21 Feb (38 weeks), just need a letter from the midwive stating that I'm fit working past 36 weeks.
Sure that wont be an issue - if it weren't for the bump (and kicks), i'd forget I was pregnant!! Same as with my first, and i worked till 38 1/2 weeks with him...

For the last week or so, it seems I've been feeling a bit less movement. I can feel her move around a bit, and occasionally I feel a hard bump where either her head or arm is, but I only really feel kicks (or punches) once or twice a day?

Happyness1 my baby shower is also this saturday - i cannot wait.
My stretch marks so far have only kicked in on the love handles - quite alot from all the weight gain. Weight keeps on increasing even though im eating salad every night.

Baby is definately growing and kicking like crazy. We have our scan tomorrow. interested to see what position he is in as i just cannot tell. sometimes feels like head is up and sometimes like head is down judging by the kicks etc.

Im going on maternity leave 1 week before due date. I have taken the christmas week off though - need a break. getting very tired

Seems like everyone is still doing well - guess no news is good news

Everything going very well here and can really feel baby getting bigger by the day! Have started developing my first stretch marks in the past week

Visiting gynea again next thursday (19th) cant wait!!

When are you all starting maternity leave? I will be going on maternity leave on 1 Feb which is 2 weeks before my due date but I just have this feeling that our baby girl will come in the last week of January

In the meantime we are looking forward to our babyshower on saturday and going on annual leave next wednesday!!! Will be back with more updates etc on the 6th of Jan.

Izzels I am so glad your little man is doing well, don't worry about the turning you still have time if you would like check out a website I think its called turning tums or something like that ( you can check with Hasie how also chats on the VBAC thread ) they have natural ways to encourage your little one to turn

Hi Missy I am glad that every thing is going well and yes I think it would be a good idea to see the doc and the replacement in December so that you can be sure every one is on the same page. I don't want to make you worry but the last thing you want is that in Jan you realise that the replacement is not as pro VBAC as you through and then its to late to find some one ells. so rather make sure now.

Mrs Tl, oh don't worry I also feel huge and even the smallest of tasks seems like a mountain. I also get cramps in my calves but they aren't to bad. That is so cute about your DH!!!!

AFM: I was on bed rest for the past week. After the move and all the rushing around to get things like water connected and Social Security sorted my body sort of gave in I was in major pain and could barely walk. I retained to much water in my legs which made walking a problem and then also my ligaments and pelvic floor is stretched to the max. I had to rest to give my body chance to recover from the strain and also now I need to go on maternity leave sooner ( I will start on the 28th ). I really think that I do not have much time left before these girls arrive they are already 1.5 kg each. I think they will be here the week between Christmas and New Year or the first week in Jan.
at least I am ready for them to arrive, finished packing their bag and mine last night so at least that is sorted

Hello all!

Just a quick check in. I went for my check up again this morning (two week schedule) and all is well. All except for a stupid sciatic nerve pinching.

I am getting very big - is is just me or does everyone feel that way? It just feels as if everything was going smoothly but now it is just one massive growth spurt?

Oh yes, and I'm getting cramps as well - in my calves... weird huh? Now I now that I might need to up my magnesium intake so I'll just check on that. The funny thing is, it woke me up the other night and as I was getting up going "Eina, eina", my DH was up and almost waiting in the car with my bag for me I had to explain that it is just my calves cramping and no reason to grab the bag and take route 2 to the hospital. That was so sweet!!

Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Missy, I am so holding thumbs for you for your VBAC, I hope your new doctor is even more supportive of this!

Izzels, I'll experience the natural birth through you - has your little man turned yet? If not, I'm sure he will.

Hopeful, How is the pram-shopping going? I can't believe all of the choices out there. I change my mind every day and that is just a pram for one, can't imagine the choices for your girls!! Sterkte met dit!!!

Hi Ladies,

Had my appointment yesterday.... All is well with baby. His laying head down so im glad for that. This was my last appointment with my gynae as his replacement will see me in Jan 2014.

I was thinking because i want a VBAC shouldn't i ask to see my gynae with his replacement by end of Dec as that is what they'll be doing with patients whose due in Jan.

Anyway doc said that by week 36 they check if all is ok to go ahead with the VBAC (holding thumbs).

Baby's weight is 900 and something grams so his just above the 800grams doc sed he'll be.
