Morning ladies

I typed a whole post, but it disappeared.

Basically after a whole lot of bleeding on Saturday, I called the gynae. He asked me to come in yesterday just to check. Everything was fine, he said to me that he cant pinpoint it as it can be a few things, nothing visible on scan. It can also be amniotic fluid leaking :pinch: so I will be going for my scheduled appointment still tomorrow to check on progress. She is kicking up a storm however,so doc is not to worried, yesterday no sotting, but doc did find some blood in urine though. This morning, spotting again. So I am just taking it day by day.

He can do internal exam but that can risk preterm labour, so that option is out.

Natsvan hope you are feeling a bit better, when are you seeing our gynae to discuss?

Nadia glad all is well.

Oh yes and asked doc about all the questions I have, it think we will be staying as I got a very honest and straight answer for most. So think we will be fine with him.

Hoping for this day to pass. not in very high spirits at the moment.

Hi Ladies

Such a lot has happened!

Congrats to all on the halfway mark! Joans, I am also at Panorama. I had my first baby there and they were really great.

Natsvan, such cute pics of your little man :) It must be so hard not to worry, but I am sure everything will work out fine, if you can, try and relax. I worry about everything!

Mommyme, I agree, definitely be firm and insist on some answers. You are after all paying for a service. When is comes to doctors we will put up with more than we otherwise would. I am also guilty of this and have to remind myself that I am entitled to ask questions even if they don't like it very much.

So far I am still feeling great, energy levels are fantastic and work will return to a more normal routine from today. I am just gaining weight like crazy, but I am trying not to let it bother me too much as exactly the same happened with my first one, and by 2 weeks after the birth I managed to shed about 80% of the weight and the rest followed in the next 3 - 4 months. I think breastfeeding had a lot to do with it, so ladies if you needed another reason to breastfeed, this is a big one ;)

Have a fantastic week

Hello all

Natsvan, so sorry you are stressing. Hoping doc has some answers to at least put ur mind at ease. Your scan pics are very cute!

MommyMe, good luck for your appt tomorrow. Hope doc can reassure you. Agree with what the other ladies say, if you're not happy then rather change gynaes. You want to be comfortable and feel that your caregiver is actively involved in your care.

Afm, had my appt this morning. Baby is measuring vey well. Week of two ahead in all measurements. Doc seemed a bit concerned about head measurement but says nothing looks funny. May just be a big baby. Will book 22 week fetal assessment for second week of September. Other than that all looks ok. Blood pressure a little high but managing with meds so she is not concerned for now.

Hope you all have a good Monday!

Hi Natsvan sorry to hear. Keep praying and thinking of you.
I know how you feel with being worried. My spotting cleared up for a week and then started again this week. This morning i was terrified as i had so much blood when wiping after morning pipi. :tmi: it was the most i ever had and cloudy red. I am really worried. :S also got these very strange pulling sensation with a bump on the one side. Not sure if its baby because last night i found her very very low again and this was high up. Not sure whats going on but this doc better be ready on Tuesday, im not leaving without a decent explanation as to possible causes. Keep strong and try to relax even more now. Big hug.

Hi Mommies!
I really need to log in more often, I just logged on and had 28 to read, bit hard to remember everyones exciting news

Went for our 20 week scan yesterday, gynae didnt do the scan, it was another lady. Definitely a boy, hes growing well which has now pushed the EDD to 31 December. He was so cute, wouldn't lie still to be measured so she had a tough time doing all the measurements. My placenta might pose a problem, looks like there is a slight tear and its growing right by my caesarean scar and bladder. I've got no choice but to go back for a scan in 4 weeks time to see the gynae to check how its going, very worried. Just don't know how the hell they cut through the old scar if the placenta is right there. Other problem I had was on Monday when I had low pain and braxton hicks, phoned gynae, decided to wait and not drive 4 hours to see him. It seemed to feel better later that day, I'm now wondering if it was my placenta causing the pain and not round ligament. I constantly feel like I have to pee, went to the loo just before the scan and then during the scan she said my bladder is full, very confused and very worried that this is going to turn into a worrisome pregnancy. Guess I better take it easy and wait for next month.

Will post some scan pics later. Sorry I'm such a bundle of worries, bit stressed about the entire thing.

Have a good weekend

MommyMe, I agree with the other ladies, if you are not comfortable with your gynae it is never too late to change! It really sounds as if he isn't really interested, and I know he does it all day every day, but the best gynae's understand that each mother is going through the experience and it is unique to her. That's just my opinion. I also had an incident with my gynae where she rushed me, but usually she was just SO fantastic, so I actually said something and she apologised and explained that on that particular day she had been in since the early hours with a delivery and had such a crazy day. So I completely understood, and those days happen to everyone, even the specialists! So if it happens once or twice and there is an explanation, then it's fine, but if you are not happy and you don't feel comfortable, then I would suggest finding someone closer to you who you are happy with!

Joans, I also went off the pill because it made me feel icky and I wanted my hormones to regulate themselves. My gynae was so understanding and explained all my other options to me. Never once putting me down for wanting my body to regulate itself. She said that everyone is different, and I must do what feels comfortable for me.

MommyMe, I know the Medi-Clinic I am at, Milnerton, is huge on Kanga care and natural births and all that. That is one of the reasons I chose that hospital. Kanga care is an absolute must for me! I hope you come right, and at the end of the day you must do what makes you happy and comfortable.

Have a great weekend ladies
