yeah, my husband and I are qualified scuba divers and I also miss it soooo much so I get what you're saying. But there are definitely many things you can do with baby. I'm moving to an area where we have loads of hills (somerset west, against the mountain) so stroller powerwalking will be my vibe! They also say babies need as much fresh air as possible so it's two birds one stone. I also love pilates and that you can do at home with a youtube video course while baby chills in his bouncer chair, so that's ideal. But mostly I just want my old appetite back. I used to crave healthy things, and that's just GONE since I became preggo. Sigh! Limnos oh limnos. Just talking about it makes me want some. Luckily my car is in for a service today so I can't drive, hahaha

Hehe Joans, thanks for the support ;) I am really missing being active, doing something everyday was such a stress relief for me. So I think that's also been playing on my emotions! I was never a small girl to begin with, but I had finally reached a stage I was happy with and was very very active, especially with crossfit. So now just ballooned. But as I said, I won't stress because I know I will get back into the swing of things! I have been reading up fun classes to go to with baby and actually get baby involved in your exercises so you don't have to leave him alone! I'm keen to try that! And do some jogging with a pram on the promenade :)

I am SO glad I don't live close to Limnos! I don't know how you do that! We should totally form a mommy jogging group for after babies are born ;)

Robsyc, thanks! And don't worry, I've picked up somewhere between 4-5kg already as well, and on my frame that is A LOT. Also I was the skinniest I had been for a very long time pre-pregnancy, as all the wedding stress made me shrink alot (had to re-tailor my dress about 5 times) so I did also expect to pick up a bit. Trying to get it under control tho! I know I'm still at the lower end of the scale but need to just make sure I keep it in check. It's just that I also used to eat really healthy and its been so difficult for me to keep that up because I have the most insane sugar cravings. Cake is like catnip for me at this stage, and living really close to a limnos bakery doesn't help at all! So don't worry, you're not alone. After the babies are born we shall jog!

Hi Ladies!

Joans, congrats on the half way mark! So special, and time is just flying! I am 19 weeks, one week from half way!

My hubby's family (they live in potch) sent through a suitcase of stuff yesterday full of baby things. Mostly clothes and handmade blankies, which are really nice. So we won't need to do much clothes shopping for the first 6 months! We also ordered our cot on monday! So excited!

I have been so sick with flu since last week, and I eventually gave in and went to the doctor today and turns out I have acute bronchitis! So ladies just watch out, because the normal flu or cold for anyone else can turn into something serious for us preggie ladies! I have been booked off for a week, and have already taken the last week off anyway! Hee hee! Least I am getting all this bed rest and sleep whenever I want, I won't lie - I am LOVING it!!!

APotgieter, you are so lucky to only have picked up 1kg! I have picked up 10 already! It's ridiculous! My gynae says that it's probably because I was so active before the pregnancy and now I have not been allowed to do anything strenuous because of the complications and bleeding - doc actually told me bed rest for rest of pregnancy! Anyway, because I was active and suddenly stopped but carried on eating how I was when I was active has played a big part. I don't eat badly at all, just a lot, and that my body is used to burning it off I guess. Sigh, I love food. That is one of the reasons why I was so active prior to pregnancy, so that I could have yummy things hee hee! So I'm trying not to stress too much about it, as I know after baby is born I will get back into things and back to crossfit. OK sorry, there's my ramble session for the day.

I totally understand where all you ladies are at with the emotions! I have heard that it gets worse as you progress haha! Good luck to all of us!

TCC84, good luck with scan tomorrow! Hope baby plays along and you get to see if you are team pink or blue! Looking forward to hearing about it :)

Have a great day everyone! X

Hi everyone how is everyone doing

I completely understand what you mean Jones I have been so emotional this last week or so and I keep telling myself to chill - I hate that thing where if you react to a situation everyone is like ag don't worry she's just pregnant :headbang:

eish even feel like crying when I write that - these preggie hormones is making me fall apart

The gynie told me that I shouldn't worry to much about the measles I must just relax - My mother says that I was vaccinated as a child (But it seems that being vaccinated young makes you immune) you must get really close to someone who has the illness you have to inhale spit drops - so if someone coughs or sneezes on or near you. But I don't know how you will be able to tell for someone is contagious one week before even showing symptoms and 21 days after that - really confusing
enough about that ...

I have quite a prominent bump but only feeling flutters not hard kicks yet I cant wait

I picked up about 1 kg already - gynie is really happy she says that it is good if you don't pick up to much in the beginning - so I am really happy with my son I picked up 17.5kg in total (I was huge) hopefully not this time (Holding thumbs) :)

Mommyme your bump is so cute I must take a photo and add it

TCC 84 I think its ok to dye your hair while pregnant its just that due to the hormones the colour is not necessary going to be the same and when I want to colour my hair I ask my stylist if I can come last on a Saturday afternoon when most of the people have left for it is harmful for you to inhale all those fumes (I think if you want to do it as home just choose a well ventilated room) what do you other ladies think this is my view - I coloured my hair with my first child and it did not to a thing to the baby

Karmie welcome to team PINK

Have a lovely Thursday afternoon ladies

Hello ladies!

How are you all doing? I am officially halfway today! Whoop! :woohoo: I've been feeling some changes, lots more hormonal than I've been generally in the second trimester, just about anything makes me cry. Also I've been getting headaches again and little bouts of nausea, but nothing too bad. Hope it's just a phase! Also I've started getting some back pain, and my weight really seems to be ballooning right now!

Alicia that so sweet! Hope you can get confirmation of it being a little girl next time

With german measles I'm also immune. Think my mom had me vaccinated when I was still very young. But it's a rare thing either way, so I wouldn't stress about it too much.

MommyMe your bump is so cute :) mine is still actually quite small, although I feel massive, but I'm sure that will change soon!! Still planning on going to the baby sense seminar. Hope the spotting clears up soon! I've also had some hectic biltong cravings. I did have some a couple of times, but nothing in excess. Didn't do any harm at all, in fact I think the proteins are all goood. But still wouldn't eat it every day, and only from trustable sources (for me I only buy at boesmanland biltong)

Hope all of you have a great day, the weekend is upon us! This week has really flown!

Hello Ladies

Nice to see everyone updating and pregnancies all going well.

I can't believe it is already my appointment tomorrow. I am sooooo hoping that we will be able to see the gender, it will kill me to wait another month

I will update tomorrow with some pics of the scan and gender if we find out.

Just wanted to ask you all a quick question....Do any of you dye your hair while you are pregnant?
