Hello everyone!
hope you have been doing well.
I just got back from my 16 week scan. The passenger is doing well, gynae confirmed it's most definitely a boy and he's doing extremely well! He's already showing that he's going to be a tall one like his daddy (DH is over 2m tall, my family are also giants, so no surprises there) so he's about two weeks ahead in terms of length, and one week ahead with most of the other stuff. Such a little overacheiver! Here are some pics as well.
Alicia what pram did you get? Father-in-law has told DH that we should choose a pram, he wants to give that to us. I saw one I liked at babies are us, a chelino that looked quite sturdy but was easy to operate. And cup holders, I like that. Might be getting that soon! Will post pics.
Karmie welcome to the thread! I also had surprise pregnancy, found out I was preggo right after the honeymoon. Initial shock, but now everyone's really getting very excited. We're lucky tho, apparently summer babies have it much better than winter babies in terms of sleep and such, as they're not so cold all the time. Regarding pregnancy symptoms I am past the worst, no more nausea and less fatigue. Occasional headaches tho. Oh and if I touch anything white and processed (white bread, pizza etc) I get quite constipated. But totally normal when I eat right. I am defs already showing tho, but probably to be expected as I'm almost 16 weeks along now.
Natsvan we're also debating about the name. It's a slightly tricky one as we aren't too fond of my father-in-law's name, so that really complicates things. We're also not going to our normal gynae for the 20 weeks scan, as thats with the maternal fetal specialist again, to just make sure everything is looking 100% good to go. I'm also hooked on the pregnancy reality shows! Still in two minds about a birth plan tho. Not sure about my options, as I am really small around the hips, like my granny, who had some massive issues with natural childbirth, so I'm just gonna trust my doc on this one.
How's everyone else doing? Hope the babes are growing well!
