Thanks very much! I also read that on Google, but also read some horror stories so I try to stay away from Google as much as I can. Last pregnancy I was always on google and it turns out I was one of the unfortunate cases so I have stayed away since then, prefer to chat to others and see if anyone else is going through it :) Thanks again!

Hi Robsyc I have had a quick read on google and it seems that the Utrogestan is given to stop bleeding in pregnancy

Hi ladies

how was your weekends - we went together with some family members to a lodge on the bank of the Vaal river hubby his brother and some other guys went to play golf there on Saturday - everything was ok except Saturday night/Sunday morning at 07h00 yesterday it was -6 degrees  it was freezing I was so glad when we went home yesterday

Mommyme I am so glad that everything is ok with you and with baba - thanks for sharing with us now we know that spotting can mean all kind of different things :)

Karmie welcome to the second trimester :woohoo: you feel so much more at ease when that first 12/13 weeks are over

Nadia thanks I am so glad to be at 4 months I am just wishing the weeks away I am not someone who likes to be pregnant - I didn't like it the first time around either but I want to try this time for this will be the last time i am going to be pregnant. i worry way to much when baby moves to little i worry when i get pains eish its just to much. Hopefully this baba is very active my son was very quite he never kicked me in the ribs or anything like that and the was a big baby weighing 3.8 at 37 weeks.

O well to much from me - hahaha

Have a lovely day ladies ;)

Morning everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! The weather was perfect to do nothing :)

I have a question for anyone else that may have gone through/is going through the same situation as me.

I am having an extremely stressful pregnancy! I have had 2 miscarriages before, at 6 weeks and 10 weeks. I am now 16 weeks and 2 days. During this pregnancy there has just been so many problems! At 6 weeks I had excessive bleeding and thought it was another miscarriage, but I went to hospital and it was a threatened miscarriage and baby was fine. Then at 10 weeks I had bleeding, no cause was determined but baby was fine. Then last week I started cramping and spotting and having brownish clumps (tmi sorry!) come out, so rushed to the hospital again and baby was fine but they couldn't determine the cause of bleeding!

I was put on bed rest and admitted into hospital for observation, and I was put on Utrogestan 200mg every night. I have since stopped bleeding but still getting the occasional cramp. I am back at work as I can't afford to take any more time off, but it's not a strenuous job, but obviously I can't stay in bed for it.

Sorry for the long winded story! My question is this: Has anyone else been prescribed the Utrogestan with bed rest? What exactly is the purpose of this? I am probably being super paranoid, but because of my past it is so hard not to worry and get stressed. We want this little guy so so much!

Thanks all for your help! Appreciate it!!! x

Morning Ladies

Sjoe what a weekend. Baby was doing well on Friday at the scan.

Dr said something about a "stolsel" or clot in English behind the placenta. He couldn't see it on the sonar, but normally that I what is causing the bleeding.

He said he cant do anything about it, it just have to resolve on its own, also could not indicate what is causing it, but apparently it happens and is causing no harm to the baby. :pinch:

He said I will have some more spotting/bleeding until it is resolved. Well I did. again Sunday morning and also this morning, the spotting changed into clear bright red bleeding (sorry TMI)

So I am just trying to be + and hold out as long as I could. Will be getting the angel heart fetal heart monitor the weekend just for peace of mind.

I hope you ladies had a wonderful weekend, I truly hope this winter will now pass. (me being a winter person had enough)

Karmie very glad everything went well and welcome to the 2nd trimester!! :woohoo:

Morning Ladies

Mommyme, how did it go at the doc? I hope with all my heart everything is okay

How was the weekend ladies?

I went for my 13 week abnormality scan on Friday, everything is fine, baby developing right on track and have a low-risk for Downs Sindrome, which is always comforting to know.

I am officially out of the first trimester :woohoo: Nausea is subsiding and energy coming back, loving it!

Take care all and have a wonderful week.
