MommyMe, my eerste enetjie het glad nie gesak nie, ek was al overdue en sy was al baie groot toe moes ons C-section doen. Jy het darem nog tyd, hoop sy begin afsak! Ons het n moses basket wat ons sal gebruik vir die eerste paar weke en langs ons bed sit. Carrycots is oor die algemeen veilig, maak net seker daar is genoeg spasie en nie te veel padding in kante sodat babs vryelik kan asemhaal.

AFM, I am feeling huge, baby weighed 3.1kgs 8 days ago, so I am sure this is going to a big baby. Luckily only 14 more days to go! Swelling is quite bad, but other than that, me and baby are perfectly healthy.

oh yes and before i forget. where and in what is all your babas sleeping/going to sleep?

We bought a carry cot for her for now so she can be with us in the room. As soon as her room is ready we will move to another room next to hers.

The cot is not yet done and wont fir in our room.

So would the carry cot be safe to sleep in for the first while do you think?

How is everyone else doing?

I went to see the midwife on Tuesday. 36w1d then. Baba had not yet moved down but is head down. nog nie gesak nie, hope i explain the english correct. Cant think of the word now.

So we hope she stays a little longer so that hubby can finish the room. lol. almost done. But i must say,cant wait to meet her.

Feet,ankles and hands started to swell a lot. Yesterday was quite painful. Today better by just resting and drifting in the pool for a while.

So Connor was gebore op die 29ste Dec via keisersnee. Hy weeg 2.9kg en is gesond

Ek is fine, net n bietjie pyn nog. Hopelik gaan Ons nog vandag huistoe.

Geluk aan al die ander mammas met die geboorte aan hul babas. Mag hulle vir julle Baie vreugde bring.

Hi ladies!

I'm so sorry been quiet! I kept meaning to message and then things just started getting crazy!
I had little nathan on 26 dec by emergency c section. I had a stomach bug (I thought it was that) from 24th and eventually after 2 days of being sick I came in to hospital and they treated me for severe dehydration. Then on morning of 26th I started with contractions and I was dilated but water didn't break so doc broke it for me. Then after some time little nate went into distress and turns out my contractions were not strong enough to open cervix properly and so he got stuck and he was not happy. So went in and now we're happy ad healthy! He was born at 4pm, weighing 3.4kg. Made it to 37w5d I will try attach some pics
I must say I am in a lot of pain, I am not a c section fan, but that being said it was still a wonderful experience and I would do it all over again to meet him. I did not react well to pain killers afterwards so I don't remember much of first day which is a little upsetting but that's life! All good now and I am completely smitten!

Hope wveryone is doing well! Not long now. It is the most incredible feeling in the world just staring at this little human that you made that is all yours!

Good luck everyone. Update when you can! But I for one know how crazy things get1!!

Robs also had her baby on the 26th if im corect.Robs hope you don't mind me saying, congrats and enjoy every second. Nathan is beautiful.

Im just being lazy today. Still have one small bundel of clothes to wash,then everything is sorted. Getting really excited now.

Nex week is a super exciting week for the group. 3 babies to be born. Good luck to Blessed on Monday and Nadia and Alicia on Friday. Will be thinking of you.
