hello ladies
faffy@glad to hear baby is getting easier and crying less. I understand you about the daycare, unfortunately no one can look after your baby like you can. Maybe if possible get a sleep therapist for babies(I think thats what they are called) to help you and your lb adjust. Especially since he will be going to a daycare soon because the daycare staff might not be able to always carry him. Have you weaned yourself off the ergynol?
How are the rest of you mommies doing?
Today I started working at a friends store. She sells second hand baby products and asked me to help her out 3 days a week, fortunately I can bring K with me. So I will be busy with that too. Enjoy your day ladies

hi Nels_n, you sound so good. I'm glad things are getting better. :-)
we are doing well. After the 7 weeks mark, I started feeling a whole lot more comfortable with baby. slowly but surely I can feel like I am starting to become myself again and life is starting to form a new normal. my boy is a very sweet good boy. He hardly cries and if he does, it's not for long and it's usually something quite easy to fix. my milk is nice and full so he isn't ever hungry anymore which makes things a lot easier.
my biggest worry at the moment is daycare. I don't know if they will look after him nearly as well as I do and I'm in nervous about how he is going to react to not having mommy around for the whole day. It's breaking my heart just thinking about it. Also worried about him getting sick a lot. Going to try and express at work to make sure his immune system stays strong.
Hubby and I are still more like baby partners and housemates then husband and wife. my baby is incredibly clingy and hates being put down. so as I read your morning routine I am so jealous because I am lucky if I can get a very fast shower in. Hubby and I basically pass him from one to the other while the one cooks and other cleans.
I am starting to wonder if I should start forcing him to sleep alone in the cot or just be alone sometimes. but Iwon't be able to let him cry alone. Hopefully with creche he will get used to it.

Hello Mommie

how is everyone doing. Hoping silence means sleep, alot of it.
K is sleeping better now, thankfully. My spinal gives me hassles still but getting better. My oldest is on holiday and his cousin came over for the holidays so taking care of 3 kids.
Ladies who have started exercising how is it going? Sex :D, with my first I felt unsexy and exhausted but bit the bullet at 3 weeks post (my cs recovery was way quicker than this one down there), I realised that I had to enjoy my new body and work around my first to be together. Each mommy is different, I know of people who it too 3 months and some like me less. The best thing I did was talk to hubby and poor guy he was also worried that he might hurt me or something. This time around I took longer due to the pain of my drain and cervix, so only do the deed at 6 weeks. One thing I did this time was take care of myself first, ie got up early while k was napping and bathed, ate and enjoyed a cup of tea while reading or watching tv. Took the time to pamper myself at least once a week at home. I prayed about alot of things I felt horrible or scared about and decided to look at myself as a hot mom, not the opposite. Yes I was tired and getting down at first but as time went on it got better. Oh and I tried dressing (better looking jeans and shirt maybe instead of a tshirt with nice pumps not glamorous) wore earings etc, hopw this helps.
What have you ladies been up to?

yes true. slow is better. I guess they do understand but I worry that it's me being silly or having issues rather than it being normal.

We found a daycare in a week..so don't worry. Just started looking around so long.

separated abs! from being pregnant? can it be fixed up? strengthened maybe? how did you know? is it sore? mommies really take a beating don't they.

X

Faffy...

Don't be too stressed about the intimacy issue. As I see it you have to wait till you feel good n ready otherwise it will feel forced and superficial and that just defies the point doesn't it?... I think our hubbies understand better and more than we think. Mine was actually also too scared and afraid of hurting me. Perhaps take it slow at first and aim for 2nd base rather than a home run ;-)

Ditto on the feelings though. I still look 5 mnths pregnant, struggle to wash hair and my wardrobe is made up of same yoga pants and shirts so shaggy is the word! I dont know when life will be normal again.

I dont have daycare yet, stressing a bit!!

Lastly, I now also know that I have seperated abs (diastasis recti) which is the nice way to say permanent mummy tummy. There are exercises one can do to improve it, will have to research those mmm...
