Hi everyone!

Nels im sorry about the nausea and reflux :(
and your headaches gloei....
i have a bit of constipation but not as bad as in my first pregnancy. And my nausea had fnally gone down, only gag early mornings but fine the rest of the day.

Next app is only 2 dec. But i also found a midwife who had a birth centre at her home and its also close to hosp, so we will be giving birth there, and will still speak to her but i would love to have a waterbirth this time too.
Cant remember if i told your girls but i would love to go the cloth nappy route this time, so not buying any sposies now ;)

1st pregnancy - We had a natural birth at home with our midwife. It was a dream come true!

2nd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 12 weeks (blighted ovum)

3rd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 7 weeks

4th pregnancy - 2013 Twins Miscarriage at 6 weeks 4 days

3 Sept 2014 - Saw and heard our little heartbeat.

Morning Ladies!!

Nels: I really hoped that your nausea would have cleared up by now? I find I can cope with most of the symptoms, but the nausea was the worst. Feel so sorry for the ladies who still struggle with this. I am also with you now with the reflux...I really have to watch what I eat, when I eat especially before bedtime. I have taken Eno Tumms a few times already.
I also thought I must go dig up all the baby clothes and sort them in the correct age groups again, since everything wasn't always put away that neatly - very excited to do that! I am also quite freaked out by how much more I feel this baby move compared to the first one! I have actually had a few semi painful kicks!! Hope this is not a sign of their future sleeping patterns?! So glad to hear your midwife appointment went well, so nice to start preparing ones mind for the birth. I am going for my second Hypnobirthing class tonight, so far I would seriously recommend it to everyone! I would skip the normal hospital Antenatal classes and just do this! Hoping to get my relaxation CD's tonight so that I can start practising! The homebirth sounds amazing and you are very lucky you are close enough to a hospital to do it. I am SO excited for you!!!! Good luck with the birthday party - can imagine it must be quite tiring to tackle that now.

On my side things are going very well, so relieved the nausea is gone!! I am still battling with the headaches every few days, but I am coping somehow. The constipation is really not fun, never had it this bad with my first pregnancy! Hoping the other ladies might skip this one (I know Nels and I are suffering...).

I had my last Doctors visit on wednesday with baby weighing 290 grams and looking great - dr. is pretty sure it is a girl. :) Moving on to the Midwives now who will take me through the rest of the pregnancy.
Will be doing my Big fetal assesment scan in 2 weeks or so!! EXTREMELY excited!!!!

I think I need to get a new bra - I thought that I will stick with the bra that I have had now, but it seems it is getting a bit tight...He he he.

Hope everyone else is doing well??? Would love to hear how you all are doing. xx

Morning ladies

how is everyone doing? Im good just the reflux and nausea seems to be up and down, thinking of taking out baby stuff from storage to get it cleaned and see what I need to buy.
I was thinking of starting on my nappy stock and buying some from now, have any of you ladies started buying?
This boy is moving alot more or at least i can feel him ALOT, it seems he is never still.
I had my first midwife appointment on Thursday and it was great, we discussed the pregnancy and my doula that i want and she is happy with my decision. +-18weeks to go I am enjoying each moment even the sickness. I think its because this time i can concentrate on me and not rushing to work and thinking about how my boss will give me a lon story about taking leave or going for appointments etc.
We have settled on a home birth, a water birth. I cant wait and dh is excited too. But am trying to prepare myself for labour but it seems hard and exhausting, the fatigue seems to be getting worse. Have any of you done hypnobirthing? Would love to try it.
Have you started buying christmas pressies, im trying to plan for my sons birthday in 3weeks and it seems to be a challenge as my mind is just stuck and out of ideas *sigh*, i forget, then i remember and write down then i forget where i wrote down, then i write it on my phone and dont save it by mistake. Its a mission. But all in all it will be done in the end. Still have to decide on a cake.
Have an awesome day ladies

Hi Ladies!

Nels - Thank you for the prayers. The headaches have improved during the night but is now worse during the day. Panado seems to help for a couple of hours at least. Guess this is just one of those annoying pregnancy symptoms?!

I am also exhausted after a 20 min. pilates session, it lasts for almost the rest of the day - you are not alone! We are also trying to get our house in order, making space, throwing out stuff, new built in cupboards...trying to get as much done as possible since we all know how much you get done once the baby arrives... I am also battling to eat healthy, where I normally follow a very balanced diet. The sugar cravings are insane!! Usually my willpower is strong when it comes to cravings, but this is off the charts cravings! Perhaps I should start taking a magnesium supplement as I remember that helps.
Good luck with all the house-organising-chores!! Hope you make good progress!!

Newbiemom - AMAZING!!! I agree, I will treasure these moments for the rest of my life - so special. Hope your LB is doing better??

On the topic of feeling the baby move...this baby of mine is really ACTIVE! Considering how early I could feel the baby and regularly eversince is making think if this child is going to be hyperactive (my husband has ADHD). My first child wasn't nearly as active as this baby. I can feel her move during the night and day regularly? Strange how we can worry about anything, either baby not moving enough or moving too much. :silly: Will ask the doctor next wednesday.

StarryEyed - How was the scan??

Hello ladies

Nell@congratulations on your pregnancy, welcome to the group.
Newbiemom@lol, your lo was playing pikaboo with you guys, hope you get a better view next time and praying for a speedy recovery for your son.
Gloie@how are you doing? Have the headaches gone down? Praying for you to get better.
Starreyed@you fortunate that you found your size of comfy leggings, my waist seems to be expanding by the day. Anything around my waist feels awful :( even when its loose. Hope you had a good look at your lo.
Sorry I have been scarce ladies, i have been busy trying to get my home sorted out as my energy is getting depleted day by day :(, i get tired after each exercise and cant do much for the remainder of the day. Will go and get a yoga ball and try and use that from now on.
Gloie@i have gained back the weight i had lost before this pregnancy and i dont eat that much. I envy you for not gaining any weight.
My constipation is getting worse mainly due to my diet, im becoming picky again *sigh, and can only eat certain non healthy foods, but will try to change that asap.
Enjoy the rest of your day ladies

Hi Ladies!

StarryEyed - You have the most fascination job!!! Catching birds 3:30 in the morning?!!! Wow, that is too cool for words but I can only imagine at this stage this is not funny or that fascinating at this stage with all the yucky symptoms...

So glad to hear that you are feeling the baby! Yes, you are right, this is a very strange looking phase, it doesn't really look like a pregnancy just bloated. But it will change soon!

I hope you have a great scan today and that you can have a peep at the gender. FX!!!

About the nausea, I really feel for you. I was so sick with my first pregnancy, I became so depressed and down in the dumps with the constant vomiting. If you feel you are becoming very dehydrated I would suggest you go to a clinic and get a drip/IV. The fluids in the drip helped me a couple of times when I became so weak I could barely get up. I know some people have nausea right through your pregnancy, but is more uncommon - try and be positive that at 16 weeks it will go away! Most people I knew who was very sick became much better later in pregnancy, it is rare exceptions who remain sick the entire pregnancy. Hopefully not too long for you as well.

I can imagine that your headaches are perhaps due to dehydration too. I found that the more exhausted I am (and lack of good sleep) triggers headaches very easily.

Thinking of you!! xx

Hoping that everyone else is doing well. :)
