Nelsn, your milk is coming in!! Oh, my!! I never had any leaks with my first pregnancy, but I remember my sister said that with her second pregnancy she had it leaks in her second trimester. I agree, this pregnancy is also quite different from my first!

The chewing gum has saved me a couple of times!! But yes, I think it is only going to get worse from here on...I remember having to stand while I eat with my first to create more space... :P Liquids are a challenge for me too, I love smoothies, but it just tends to gravitate more upwards, sorry TMI.

I was so dissapointed in Mr. Prices maternity range. Really not my style. For now I think I am going to be fine with previous clothes from my first pregnancy (thank goodness) but I am going to be short when I get to about 7 months. Will have to tackle the shops then. :)

Newbiemom, don't you feel prepared enough for your second birth? I mean, you know more or a less what to expect? What breathing techniques did you use during your first labour or any visualisation etc?

I have noticed a month ago that there is more of a discharge than normal, I am frequently changing underwear still. For about a week there was 'n strong smell and I decided to wait a bit and see if it clears up. Luckily it did go away. But perhaps if it persists it could be Candida or bladder infection? Better to get it checked out. Let us know what the GP says!

I really want to do the cloth nappies but have heard that for newborns they are a bit chunky and uncomfortable? Don't know if this is true at all of perhaps only of certain brands. I thought perhaps I will switch from disposables to cloth at around 3 - 6 months...Don't know will have to see?

Nels, marianne was my midwife with my first birth at home, she was so amazing. Hrr birth centre is just a bit too far away from us at the moment, and my first birth went so quickly that she barely got to us in time...

She gave me a list for things that i needed to get for the homebirth, like linen savers, surgical spirits etc... but you get that specifically from your midwife.
I am going to order my nappies from bamboobaby.co.za. they look amazing. And i hear that ordering onkine is the way to go for cloth naps.

Gloei, we went for antenatal classes at a midwife, but my midwife also gave me a book, i think something like mama bamba way or something like that. I didnt do hypno but wouldve loved to. Not sure what we are going to do this time really in terms of classes or books etc.

Any of you ladies battld with discharges? I made an app at my gp for tomorrow to just have a look s ive been getting a discharge which i thought was normal but the smell bugs me... having said that, ANy smell bugs me at the moment so i dont knownif im paranoid... no itching or burning or colours or anything...

1st pregnancy - We had a natural birth at home with our midwife. It was a dream come true!

2nd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 12 weeks (blighted ovum)

3rd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 7 weeks

4th pregnancy - 2013 Twins Miscarriage at 6 weeks 4 days

3 Sept 2014 - Saw and heard our little heartbeat.

Gloie@ wow, that sounds peaceful. Great to hear your headaches are milder and shorter.

It seems my milk is starting to form, my breasts seem to leak at night. I cant remember if things happened this early with my first :o, its been so long that some things I have to double check.
I bought chewing gum for my reflux today and it seems to be helping a bit.
Even breakfast has been aweful, eating on the go is not an option. Even shakes or smoothies are a challange :(, this pregnancy is TOTALLY different from my first.
How has the clothe shopping been ladies? Any luck on finding nicer things that fit and are comfortable?

Hi Ladies,

Newbiemom - such good news that the nausea is under control!!!!!
Glad you have your birthing team and place all sorted out. You didn't do the Hypnobirthing course with your first child? Did you read any other books to prepare yourself mentally for the birth?

Nels - Ah...the headaches come and go. It is strange, sometimes it only lasts 5 minutes then better and later it comes back again. Anyway, at least it is still bearable. Thank you for asking though.

All the videos of the hypnobirthing is totally freaky...It all seems as if the mothers are sleeping through it all. Totally amazing.

Hi ladies

Gloie@ sorry that you still have headaches , i really hope they stop :( soon. The constipation is bad, I have started taking lacson and so far not really helping.
Newbie@ i also am doing cloth from newborn, so i want to start stocking up now. Newborn cloth nappies are a bit of a mission to find so was considering glodina nappies and then getting covers (hopefully i get ones that dont leak).
Im so excited for you on finding a great midwife and birthing centre. I know a lady who refered me to my midwife called Marrianne she has a centre called Mntwana birthing centre and it looks great, would have loved to go there.
Im really excited about having a homebirth as well, what is it that you need to prepare for your homebirth? I would like to have a list so I can go through it with my midwife next month and so far on the net i havent found alot of info.
Gloie@ there is a lady doing hypnobirthing classes in durban so hoping to try them out. Thanks for letting me know about your experience.
