Hi Ladies,
I am feeling a better today.
Newbiemom - so glad to hear your house is getting back to normal!! Hopefully the nausea will be a thing of the past!
Nelsn - Ah wow, a boy!! Strange how our siblings predictions came true??!!
Weird how we can sense it ourselves sometimes too? Glad to hear the nausea is better! I asked my doctor about what I could take for constipation and he said that Movicol every now and again is fine. He said Agiolax is fine but then you must drink LOTS of water in order not too become bloated (although I have never experienced bloatedness after taking Agiolax). I am sure you are worried as I am about not getting piles (don't even want to talk about it, but in pregnancy it is a reality

) My previous Pilates dvd is not suitable for pregnancy as the exercises has to change in order to avoid straining muscles etc. I am currently using this video on youtube:
BUT word of caution: If you haven't done pilates in the past or aren't very fit I wouldn't recommend it. Some of the exercises can be very strenuous. So, you would have to decide for yourself! But this video really does target all the muscles that you need during labour. I really struggled with the first 10 min. session and will be doing it next time without the weights until those muscles get stronger. I have done the second and third sessions and were fine with that.
Can't believe you have developed Eczema? Strange how a pregnancy throws of your entire balance. Hope you find relief soon.
Faffymum - Congratulations on the boy!

So glad to hear the scan went well!! Hope you are still managing with all the wedding arrangements?
StarryEyed - Sounds as if you are still experiencing the wrath of the first trimester!! Not long now, just keep the faith that it will improve. Can't wait to hear how about the scan tomorrow!! Glad you could pick up the heartbeat with the doppler - it is pretty amazing! It really is a source of comfort if you need to check in on baby and you hear that all is well, like I did after the car crash on sunday.
I have never been in a car crash before, so I was pretty much in serious shock, although I wasn't seriously hurt. My husband's shoulder hit my head hard as we were hit from the right hand side by the taxi. It was pretty scary to be surrounded by angry commuters from the taxi who surrounded us and the situation was rather tense. I was seriously worried that the taxi driver could assault us in anger as this is very common in Gauteng, not even to mention the city centre of Jhb. We were on our way to a very nice art exhibition and food market, if you are wondering what we were doing in the bad part of town. The ambulance refused to let me go although I told them I am not hurt, they said because I was pregnant I had to be taken to hospital to get checked out. They then strapped me in a very uncomfortable stretcher (for around 2,5 hours while waiting at the 2 hospitals). To make a very long story short, I was taken to 2 hospitals (one in BRIXTON - quite rough) and after waiting forever the doctor said I seemed fine and that I need to look out for signs of a concussion.
My GP suggested that I take a month of lowest dose of Prozac to get over the shock, but I am waiting to confirm with my Gynea that this is fine. I am also seeing my psychologist today to just de-brief about the events. I am just so grateful my LG wasn't with us and that we had medical aid and insurance! Things could have turned out so much different and I still can't believe no-one was seriously injured if you take in account how bad the vehicles looked.
