Thanks for the advice ladies - like gloei says, pants are the problem, I don't like wearing skirts and dresses ALL the time. Apparently Mr Price has a maternity range, but I haven't been able to locate it in Menlyn, Sandton or Brooklyn. So I emailed them to ask which stores. You can order online, but I find that very stupid - then you have to wait and then fit the stuff and then send it back if it doesn't fit - sounds ridiculous to me.

Nels - So glad to hear about your eczema improving!
I am having MAJOR sweet cravings: it is out of control! I am having a little sweet something almost everyday, which I would never do regularly prior to pregnancy!! I am also having this craving for fruit juice. I guess that is why I am also a bit confused as to why I haven't picked up any weight yet, since I haven't eaten as healthy as I normally do the past 3 weeks.
I will have to use more willpower as I don't want to sit with a weight problem after the baby is born, but eeeeek - it's tough!

Your suggestions about the Maternity clothes is my only option too...It's only pants that are a bit of a problem. I am still shocked to hear that all the big chain stores stopped manufacturing maternity clothes. I guess the last time I was pregnant is almost 6 years ago!

how is everyone doing? My eczema has gone down. I seem to be having a very sweet tooth lately and that is not good. Have any of you had sweet cravings?
Starreyed@ thanks will try it. Just hoping this humidity doesnt bring it back full throttle . Hope you can see babies gender on your next scan.
Gloie@ how are you feeling? Great to hear your nausea is almost gone.
Ilse@ do you not have any consignment stores around your area? What found helpful last time was getting those large tops or flowy maxi dresses from the normal clothing sections. Because finding anything nice was a shlep and the prices were ridiculous :o. Im curvy and short so what i have done so far is go to penny c section of edgars and get their larger tops and at Mr price i will go and get their dresse from the +size section. My bump is also starting to show and wearing my normal clothes is becomming very uncomfortable. So this is the route i am starting to take.

Wow! This indeed does not sound good! Perhaps you could post a thread in the pregnancy forum - hopefully other moms can help?!

Hi Gloei - it is the whole country, the franchise of all the shops. I asked at Menlyn, Brooklyn and Sandton City - they don't carry maternity wear anymore at all. I've heard Mr Price has - however, Menlyn's branch doesn't stock that range and neither does Brooklyn, so I don't know where one should find it if you can't find it in the capitol of the country.

And that is my problem - I don't want to pay boutique prices and like I mentioned, Miané's stuff looks really home-made and is R500 for a pair of pants.

StarryEyed - Thank you for the kind words of support, I am feeling MUCH better! In fact I can say that the nausea is 90% gone - wishing that everyone else will join me soon!

Ahhhh....so glad you had a wonderful scan, pity you couldn't see the gender! Hopefully with the next one you can get some clarity.

Ilse - Are you sure that all branches of the big chain stores don't stock any maternity clothes anymore??? I know that often smaller shops like a smaller woolworths won't stock Maternity clothes but if you visit a big woolworths like Menlyn Park they do? It will come as a huge shock if this in fact true as I have no intention to shop at any expensive boutiques at this stage.

What about MR. Price clothing? I have a Maternity section?

Speaking about getting bigger.... I am in fact starting to show a little boep, but I am completely freaked out by the fact that I still weigh exactly the same as I did the day I got the positive pregnancy test??
Trying my best not to get too stressed out about this, but I find it a little odd. I didn't have a great appetite due to the nausea but even with my first pregnancy I have gained weight by now, 17 weeks (and I was vomiting every day for 3 - 4 months). A little confused at this stage...

Ek is van die Mei thread - wil graag by julle hoor siende dat ek die verste daar swanger is:

Waarmee ek nou sukkel op die oomblik is my klere wat nie so lekker meer wil pas nie. Nou die groot probleem wat ek nou agtergekom het, is dat GEEN winkel meer kraamdrag aanhou nie, nie edgars, woolies, foshini, stuttafords ens ens nie.

Daar is heelwat online plekke, maar hoe koop mens klere (veral kraamdrag) oor die internet????? Mens moet mos pas en ek wil die kwaliteit ook sien. Miané in The Grove in Pta Oos het klere, maar dit lyk vir my vreeslik handgemaak en dan vra hulle so R500 vir 'n broek.

Ek sien Ackermans het baie gewone rokke, maar almal is mouloos, so nou wonder ek of ek dalk daarvan moet aanskaf en dan iewers boleros in die hande moet kry.

Dit gaan my verstand te bowe - hoe kan geen winkel meer ordentlike kraamdrag aanhou nie? Ek het dit altyd gesien terwyl ek nie swanger was nie en nou ewe skielik niks nie!!!
