Hi Ctelly,
I've been wondering the same thing. I haven't bought any nursing bras yet, only some padded sports bras which I found really comfy.

I found this article online:
www.nursingbraexpress.com/when-buy-nursi...-bra-fit-nursing-mom
Even tho it measures in inches I found it helpful to see how to measure yourself so you know what size bra to get.

All other articles I found also say you should only get 1 or 2 bras before hand, as you'll probably need a bigger size after your milk has "come-in", and that it's better to wait till you've been breastfeeding about 2 weeks before buying new bras.

Dunno if that helps, but I'll keep looking.

Hi Ladies - just a quick question regarding the Bras.. I currently bought 2 pairs that are one size bigger (in cup and around the chest) than my size before pregnancy, then I also bought 2 pairs of my current size. I plan to buy 2 more.. but do I buy one cup size bigger than now and one waist / chest size bigger or just the cup ? I don't want to waist money and buy stuff I wont use. I read that our chests expands by 2 inches (5cm) in diameter.. and this will decrease again after pregnancy.. so i'd guess I have to take it into account when buying bras? (hope my question makes sense...)

Kel I see your nursing bras already too small...all ladies buying them, buy bigger...I swear you have no idea how big your boobs get once the milk comes in.

I bought from woolies in 2008 for my daughter, used them for my son and still going strong to use this time round, so Woolies bras are definitely a good buy.

Okay enough nonsense from me. he he. Have a good day.

Hi ladies

Wide eyed - W.r.t maternity pads, always night will work great! It's the only thing I used after my 2 pregnancies and my 2 d&C's...and I was a heavy bleeder all 4 times.

I got those maternity pads free in a hospital bag, what they were good for was covering my c-section cut and keeping it nice and tight, tucked into my panty across my tummy.

That's just my experience though.

Keep well and hope your bubs are all well ;)

Morning ladies :)

Happy belated birthday Kel16! Sorry you got stuck at home, but yay for cake!!

Thanks for a thalle advice on the pads ladies, I'll definitely have to get some carriwell maternity ones - my period is usually very heavy! I think I'll add Bennetts sunscreen and mozzie stick to my baby shower list too (didn't even think of mozzies, and we get chowed living near a dam!)

Ctelly, you can also get cranberry tabs for infection, clicks has their own brand not mixed with other herbal stuff we're not allowed.

Angie - flu vaccine is recommended when pregnant, just check that the vaccine they're using is the dead virus and it should be fine (I think most are, but worth confirming)

Daerhel, even with exclusive breastfeeding you'll want some bottles (and maybe a breast pump) so you can hand over the occasional feed to DF while you get some sleep! :silly:

Sorry Prenessa, not sure about hemorrhoids - daily oats, prunes and lots of water to keep constipation away? Not the only factor, but straining can make it much worse...
Just don't take castor oil, it'll move things through too quickly and you'll miss needed nutrients.

Hi Prenessa

My mum had a home made recipe to relieve haemorrhoids and get them down, she said use a packet of Epsom salts and full your bath tubs so much so you can sit in it, dilute the Epsom salt in the water and sit in it for about 20 minutes it really helped her a lot.

I am not sure if Epsom salt is used for pregnant women but maybe just research it and see.

Thank you Zaza will go check over the weekend.

Did any of you ladies suffer from Haemorrhoids? If yes , what is the best relieve.

I went to the doc and he prescribed Prep H and morvil but still did not help.

Thanks
