I think c section is scary the second time around cause you know what to expect, but the healing process is jot bad, well your baby will be there so that's easy (lol the way c section moms like defending themselves)

Yes I have heard that when you are on the table that you just want the baby out safely and that the rest doesn't matter. My husband I am sure will also be a big comfort.

I am from Pretoria and will be having the baby at Kloof Hospital. Where are you from?

O and how was your recovery after your first c-sec?

@Zandri - so sorry about the accident. Sounds very serious, but i am glad you are ok. Dont worry c-sect is small waters, you will do just fine. Soon you will be holding your prince and trust me nothing else will matter, even the operation will be worth it.

Thank you for the words of encouragement.
I am getting a c-section as result of an car accident I was involved in a couple years ago where I broke my tail bone horribly and luckily I had x-rays to give to my obstetrician en he could measure the gap and found that their is a very high chance that baby might get stuck and advised that I should get a c-section.
He said that it was up to me but that if the baby should get stuck and he had to do an emergency c-section that it could result in complications and he did not advise that.

So anyway long story short my c-section is due to medical reasons. (Stupid tail bone ) Lol but at the end of the day I am doing what is best for my baby and I am more than willing to go through an operation and the recovery process as long as he is healthy and happy.

Apart from the tail bone my doctor said at the 24 week appointment that I have a very healthy pregnancy. My boy is growing as he should and is healthy and I am doing very well.

I am a little stressed as mentioned but I try to keep a cool mind and stay relaxed.

Oh and I am going to Kloof hospital (Located in eastern Pretoria) because that is where my doctor is.

@Zandri- welcome dear. I agree with what the ladies have said, you will do just fine. Babies dont come with a manual, they are all different, and trust me as a second time mom, i am often left wondering how i am going to cope, if i will do ok.. and of cos my second c-sect worries me, but hey, a girl has to do what she has to do. The important thing is safe arrival of baby...recovery is ussually manageable, you will have people around you to help you when it gets tough(talking about family). so you will be fine, take each day as it comes, easier said i know..LOL. Just curious, is this elective c-sect or is there a medical reason? Which hospital will you give birth at?

@Louise- The gums are behaving hey, 7 months and no drama. What i did though was when we started the TTC journey, i went to a dental specialist, just to make sure i sort out whatever issues. I also cut out sweets(i got a very sweet tooth), i noticed they were making my gums inflammed a lot. So flossing and taking time to brush morning and evening, seems to be working, its either that or this pregnancy is just different.

Lol, my c-section is scheduled for the 19th of November
This is my 2nd, and the only advice I can give (out of experience) is not to worry or stress too much about the actual c-section.

That moment you're lying on that table, your only concern is that of your baby. You'll have SOOOO much streaming through your mind!

Your doctor will keep you up to date of exactly what's happening to you and what he/she's doing.

Oh yes! PP, so weird that you said people react all funny cause you're going natural?! Usually it's us C-Section Mommies having to "defend" ourselves for not going the natural route as nature intended and how our bodies was built to do...
