I still have to get a bag, i want one that does not scream "nappies in inside"
But am sure will get that a babycity

My shower will only be held in October because that is when all my relatives and my mother will be able to come - Everybody lives a bit far so they are planning everything for the week before I am due (I think )

That is why I have to get my hospital bag ready myself, I cannot wait till the week before I am due.

Most of the family in friends live in Cape Town and we are in PTA

Don't worry, most hospitals do bed bookings from about 28 weeks so you should be on schedule Hope you'll be sharing with us regularly

Good Morning ladies

This is my first time here. I am due Nov 19 but have a scheduled C-section on the 10th of Nov. Very excited and cannot wait to meet my little boy. O and this is our first child so naturally I have no idea what I am doing but everybody tells me I will be fine.
I am a bit stressed about the C-section because I can hardly stand if they take blood not even mentioning having an operation while awake but luckily I have a very good doctor and I try not to think about it.

I have read that some of you have already booked your hospital stay and I have not yet even thought about that. I am going for my 28 week appointment next Friday and will ask my Dr how it works and what I need to do. I am with discovery but I have no idea where to begin.

Lol I am feeling a bit lost the last couple of weeks, I keep forgetting things and with the little sleep I am getting I just have been in my own little world.
I have decided to at least get my hospital bag ready this weekend before I forget about that as well.

Boy am I glad it is friday, had a full melt down on monday as my colleague phoned in to say she was booked off until Wednesday, with it being month end it is probably the worst time, I just felt the pressure triple! the worst part is is that I dont know if its true or not as she sounds like she is putting on an act when she phones me (I phoned her twice to find out some info and she sounded normal), she initially said it was an inflamed spleen, then her pain was ulcers and then on wednesday she phoned in to say she was still not better and going back to the hospital - her sister phoned me yesterday to say its a slipped disc. She hasnt phoned me to say when she will be back but a colleague phoned her and said she will only be back next week tuesday!

Thankfully we have our new lady starting next week monday but thats still going to be a process but collections and debtors should come easily its just the computer system and getting to know where everything is that she needs to familiarise herself with!

@PP ive learned that its your choice in the matter when it comes to co-sleeping, we decided to have our LG in her room because we have cats and we stay in a townhouse so she wasnt far from us, the same will apply with our little boy, my one cat is a pretty jealous cat so I know it will cause problems! I wouldnt take other peoples opinions to heart sometimes they actually just dont know better, and people also talk when it comes to the crunch she might actually decide on co-sleeping.

You lucky you got your monitor i was worried as they kept sending me emails to say that its on its way there is a slight problem - just got a phonecall to say they will be delivering it today

@Juanita, we had such a hard time with applicants when we put our own advert in the newspapaer, we had 100's of CV and like you said not nearly as qualified. This time round we went through a recruitment agency this lady is brilliant, we actually had 3 agencies, the first one had terms that after 3 CV's we had to interview (of which only 2 actually came through) we werent impressed they didnt meet what we had requested and we got rid of them. if you would like me to give you her details ill be more than happy

@Kimmy33 my hospitals systems were all off and they phoned me with my booking number so I had the same thing as you, my only issue is I dont see it on my discovery pre admission list but going there on thursday so will confirm.

Sorry about your phone its aweful knowing you not like that! I through the empty toilet roll into the toilet at work yesterday instead of the dustbin so dont feel alone *hugs*

@LM thanks for the heads up on PJ's etc, I actually bought myself the nursing bras from woolies, wearing them currently lol!
