Hi ladies
Things seem to have been quite slow around here this week, but so much happening today

Seem to have recovered from my vomiting incident last week, energy levels back up and my appetite is back to normal.
@Lilyr: at the anomaly scan they check all the organs and such. Start off with the brain, make sure the two hemispheres are visible and measure the accumulation of fluid. Then they check that the mandible and maxilla are there (I got to see my little one swallowing amniotic fluid, stuck her tongue out a bit

), check that the little holes are there for where the teeth will emerge and if there's a hairlip. Then check the heart, make sure that there are four chambers and that the blood flow is correct from the arteries and veins. Check that there are two lungs, kidneys and stomach. Do specific measurements on the body parts, check the spine. I think that's everything
@Jaunita: I haven't really stocked up on any products. I'm saving all my Clicks cash back, Absa rewards and Smartshopper points for baby things

But I'll probably end up buying a lot of stuff at Clicks since I locum there over weekends and get a little bit of staff discount when I'm on duty, had wanted to buy a few things every month, but every month has come and gone with other expenses. My SIL sent me some stuff that she had over from her pregnancy, some maternity pads and breast pads, a pack of first nappies. Thankfully she also sent me three different types of stretch mark creams, been using the Palmers one and then have some Oh Lief and Happy Event. Going to go baby window shopping with my mom (and hopefully MIL if she's feeling better from her bout of flu) tomorrow to make notes on things to buy or ideas for people for what type of gifts I'd appreciate for the baby shower.
I haven't given much thought to travel systems. A friend of mine has said that she'll loan us their stroller and the car seat that fits into it since her little one is a bit big for them and has another pram available. I don't mind not having it new.
I haven't had any BHs... but round ligament pain and backache! I have my body pillow that I latch onto in front and another pillow at my back to support there and help to stop me rolling onto my back. When I had flu three weeks ago the RLP got quite bad with all the coughing. Heartburn I've got occasionally, not constant and not enough to warrant buying Gaviscon or the like.
I must admit that I haven't bothered with a proper prenatal vitamin. I've continued with Folic acid and added a 1000mg Omega 3 cap and some extra calcium (this little girl is giving me cavities!!). I got a voucher for a discount on Pregomega, but it's ridiculously expensive (even with discounts!) and I don't feel like I need to take anything else since I'm trying to eat my veggies as regularly as possible. I've become somewhat of a sceptic over the years with vitamins, especially from working in retail pharmacy and seeing how much stuff people swallow...
I hope everyone has a good weekend. All the best for finding out the gender on Monday LouiseMarie! I've got a girls' night tonight, hair cut and window shopping tomorrow and a braai with friends in the evening so should be a good weekend... Although I think I'll need to spend some time on Sunday catching up with some of my varsity work
