Hello Ladies,

oh im loving seeing all the pics. I went for my scan today and I should be 12 weeks but baby's length now says 12 weeks and 4 days. Our little one was face down on its knees and we got to see it sucking its finger - so cute!
No luck in finding out the sex unfortunately, baby wanted nothing to do with us poking around that area, kept kicking so will have to wait until the 15 June to find out - such a long wait!

As for the clothes im pretty lucky I kept all my clothes from my first pregnancy, I found going to the chinese shops and Mr Price is worth it as Materity wear is just not for everyone. Im short so the pants length just doesnt fit me and most chain stores are quiet pricey, and im definitely in the boat you all in Ive really shot out belly wise

@Pillpusher I totally agree with the whole name thing, my daughter is stuck on her "sister" being called Rye, so the only name girl wise is Riley, on nameberry it means courageous, on other websites its to do with rye fields at least we have some time to think what name will be best

@pillpusher- thank you. I am like you hey, easily worry. I really cant wait for first trimester to be over, because soon we will at leasst feel the kicks which will be enough to reassure us. How many weeks are you now? Sorry about the cot, but i agree with your mm, rather now than later. So did you have any of the old wives tale signs that agree that you could be carrying a girl? Good luck with the names, we havent even started on that...LOL

@Lillyr – glad you and LO are alright. I am so fearful of seeing blood even though a little bit of spotting is considered to be normal. I really feel like a paranoid mama, I always feel good and reassured for a day or so after a scan and then I start worrying about things again

@Chrys and Aden: we couldn't see at the 12 week scan, but a friend of mine (also due on the same day as me!) was able to see. Apparently her LG left nothing to the imagination

My poor husband was so upset when I got home yesterday. He's been trying to refurbish my old cot, but when he was trying to put it together again after replacing all the poles, the two frames split So now we're in the market for a cot. He was stressed that I'd be upset with him, but as my mom said, rather have something happen now than when baby is born and in the cot!

And since our doctor thinks that our LO might be a girl we've had to relook at names. We had settled on a boy's name, but now we're not sure for a girl. Sometimes a name sounds so pretty, but the meaning is so Like Rachel - sounds lovely, but means "ewe" – uninspiring!

Hi All the Mommies-to-be!

Glad everyone is well!!!

My nausea has finally started to ease up and I am getting my energy back slowly but surely. Yay!

I have the same problem as everyone else... My pants fit very snug and my usual tops are as tight as can be! Too big for normal clothes, too small for maternity! I have bought a few flowy tops and tights and jeggings to get me through.

I have been using Justine's tissue Oil and stretch mark cream every morning and the Bio-Oil in the evenings. Lets hope it works!

I live in Durbanville, Cape Town and will be using Cape Gate Medi Clinic. My Dr is Dr Sangita Dalla! And so far she has been amazing. We are going to the fetal specialist for the 12 week screening on Thursday and I hope I can find out the gender then! Mommas, your scan pics are gorgeous!!!

I have started excercising again as I'm not feeling as sick anymore and feel more like myself already! I walk every day and do you yoga and pilates on different days in the week.

Just a question: how do you get to add a picture for your profile on moomie?

I for some reason cant find sizes at MR Price everything is too big.

Chrys- I am also 12 weeks this week, seeing gynae next week monday, I cant wait. I dont want to find out the gender, hopefully i will be able to stick to this, my hubby wants to, so we will see.

Hi ladies, I'm glad everyone is still having a healthy pregnancy. HVDB, I totally understand the "current clothes don't fit me, but maternity clothes still a bit too big" dilemma I got some nice dresses at Mr Price in the meantime.. So maybe you should pop in there? It also won't cost you an arm and a leg

Seeing our gynae on Thursday.. Will we be able to see the sex? I'm currently 12 weeks? I really hope that we'll be able to see something.
