A friend of mine is up in JHB for the expo, will be at the Quinny stand. Not sure when it's coming to PE.

I also really wanted a rocking chair, but now with needing to buy a new cot I'm not sure if it's going to fit into our budget... and it sounds like there's trouble for my department at work so I'm going to be on tenterhooks until I hear what the boss has to say after 11am

@lillyr just a weekend left and youll finally have your 12 week scan, I totally know what you mean about the weeks dragging along especially the week just before your scan lol.

I wanted to go to the expo but as you said we just so early and ive been to every one since my firstborn. Was looking at going and getting a 4D scan - secretly hoping baby would show me if its a she or he but im thinking of skipping it this time, even though they have some awesome specials, everyone has said to rather go the Nov one but if im due the 24th and the show is from the 26th ill be taking chances, so im in a bit of a pickle

@Clueless I must agree with you regarding the lazyboy chair, we had one with our first and it was wonderful, and a good investment because it could now fit in with our lounge suite.

Hi All...... when and where is the expo? This is the first time I am hearing about one since we found out we are expecting.

@clueless, when are you due? Dont you have a pic of the La-z-boy? would love to see it? how much did you find it for if you dont mind me asking?

We are not going to the expo this time, but will go in November. Then we can buy everything we don't yet have.

As for the rocking chair, I had my heart set on one this time around too, as we didn't get one with my LG's birth. And hubby put his foot down and said, if he was going to get up again for nappy changes etc, he INSISTS on a La-Z-Boy for the baby's room. Not negotiable. And it can rock too, so it serves both our purposes.

So on Mother's day, we went to the closest Rochester's and bought a dark cherry red leather La-Z-Boy. It has to be the ugliest chair I have ever seen but I agree with him, for night feeds and sick babies it will be great

This is our only purchase for new baby so far, the rest will wait until October...
