@Pillpusher Im so sorry to hear of your current situation at work, not something nice to be stressing about at this time of your life!
If you are really unsure about the measles there is no harm in contacting your doctor! I was around a child who had measles and chicken pox with my first pregnancy also went into paranoid state but was reassured I wouldn't get it by my doctor.

@Cakes my boobs didn't get bigger with my first until much later on but I only went up from a B to a C, this pregnancy is a little different I feel much fuller in my breast region, but not jumping to buying too big just yet, will opt for a c non wire bra this time round.

So who all went to Mamamagic, I landed up going yesterday as my DH was keen on going, bought a few odds and ends for my LG and my Mama Mio tummy rub for me and then nappies and wetwipes. Cant wait to find out what baby is as I fell in love with this one store and if its a boy I will most definitely stock up on clothes from there, cant think of the name now lol!!

I meant to post about nursery themes too. My husband keeps asking if I'm sure, but I'm quite adamant to stick to a neutral blue and light grey in the nursery. We'd already painted the room grey (it was supposed to be a guest room and DH eventually convinced me to make it the nursery) so we're going to add a white trim (which will match furniture, cupboards) and blue on the lower part of the walls.

Then decorating with classic Winnie the Pooh images and Beatrix Potter (I found an online shop which custom makes them, the character wood cut outs are only R45 each!). I said that considering the kinds of colours for those character, the blue and grey will go nicely and when little one is older then s/he can choose the colour. But if doc is right and we are having a little girl then hopefully she'll be like me and like blue too... although I went through a phase when I wanted my room to be pink when I was little (I think it was more influenced by friends with pink bedrooms).

And I also haven't noticed any increase in the boobage (at 17 weeks). Under my chest has expanded (as made clear to me last weekend when was having a fitting for an outfit for bellydancing!). But for some of my bras I'm using the wider hook setting.

I think with the news this morning I'm having a generally paranoid day. A lady in my office block had her daughter here last friday afternoon (not sure if they thought she was getting flu and she needed to be fetched early from school or what the story was), but the little one ended up in hospital with measles a bit later. So I started worrying about my measles immunity I know my doctor checked for rubella and varicella zoster (chicken pox) about two years ago to check my immunity so hoping that my rubeola immunity is also ok. I dismissed the idea of getting it on Monday when I heard the news, but now it's been playing on my mind. Oh worry go away!

@Pillpusher..that's not great news. so sorry about that. Lets hope and pray something better comes up before the end of 8 months. sorry love, lets keep the faith that all will be well

@cakes - my bbs havent grown much. I am an A cup- still A cup dzamn i was hoping i will get to rock a C-cup or something I am only 12 weeks, so i am still hoping they will grow**hides* imagine breastfeeding with an A-cup

@Clueless- oooh..that looks lovely, the colour is perfect too... I totally love it. but dzamn its pricey. It looks very genuine leather jong..i really like it. I havent thought of the nursery as yet, i have just been gathering ideas, but its a little difficultt for me to plan for it because we have to first find a bigger home. Hopefully before baby comes. I love these few thoguh, will attach

do you any of you ladies know whether being pregnant with no2 does your boobs still get enormous as the first time?

I have already bought me 2 bra's and just afraid I might not get a long wear out of it. My boob's haven't gotten any bigger yet, bearing in mind I'm only 14 weeks along ....

Well my news at work was not good Part of the company has been sold off and there'll only be a position for one of the two pharmacists in my position. The other pharmacist has not only been in the company longer, but also in the position longer, so my head is likely on the chopping block It's not all doom and gloom though, it's probably going to take 8 months before the process is completed and the company generally likes to retain its pharmacists so I'll hopefully be in another position at some point (and hopefully a position I'd actually like!). But I think my colleague might also apply for other jobs so if she gets something else then I can stay.
At one point they said something about two months and I was just Thinking about the limited time to find another position and medical aid exclusions... but there's time and I'm just going to have to have faith that it will work out for me!

Can't wait for the weekend, though it will be a busy one... Showing our house again. I just pray it sells, as the sale on the new place is almost through Very stressful!

Lillyr, Im due 2nd November, if all goes well, since it has to be a ceasar. I am 14 weeks today, and will be 38 -39 weeks on 2nd November. Very little symptoms now, and nor really showing much either. Not that I'm complaining!!

LillyR, I'm attaching a pic of the chair. It was in the order of R12,000, and then we got 5% discount for mother's day But they need not be that expensive, it is only cause hubby insisted on having it in full leather (not just leather uppers or fabric). One can get it for a much more reasonable price if you go with fabric. Not sure where I'm going to put it after I no longer need it for LG. It doesn't fit in with my lounge suite at all and I will have to change all my bedroom linen if I want to put it in our bedroom But brown leather would not have worked in the new nursery, and I am buying it for baby after all, she is entitled to a chair that looks nice in the nursery. And we are not going to have other big expenses for the nursery, I will re-use our old cot and dresser. This way I can do a ladybug theme and the chair will go with that. At least, that is what I have been considering recently

@Lauz- just a weekend, I cant wait.How are you doing? Symptoms gone as yet? I will just go, though its early, hopefully if we decide to buy, its something we can always change our minds on if we find out the gender. I am looking for the big stuff, which usually takes a bit of time to be delivered, so hopefully by the time we know the gender, we will still be able to change the colours if we need to. the small items, if i buy any, will be neutral colours. Nov is too late for me, though i am due in Nov, there is a huge chance i could deliver in OCT, so its about 5 months to go for me.

@pillpusher- I will try and go to her stand and see what she has, that's if this porridge brain will rememebr the name of her stand..LOL. FX that all goes well at work for you, this is really the time you dont need to be worried about trouble at works, so i hope whatever it is, doesnt impact on you.

I am thinking of telling my baby about the new baby after the scan. She still prays for a sibling, poor thing doesnt know her prayer was answered 12 weeks ago..LOL. Not sure if its a bit too early to tell her, but yoh, its tough keeping this away from her
